In the early days we had what was called the war years fires every day rocks throw at us traps set up in old buildings although those days are long gone the job was never easy, well maybe at night with a hot apple pie ! For those that maybe don't know me I am the guy with the 57 B-95 that maybe can now get out more or the 68 R685T 6 wheel dump the was out every now and then. I grew up right next door in Greenwich and remember Port Chester in then as pretty hectic. Things have probably changed in many ways for the better, but seems there are not as many friendly faces as in those days (people come and go more, less neighborhood feel). Remember Miller's Autocar wrecker on the traffic circle on the Post Road?, funny, seemed like a monster in those days! I hope you enjoy your retirement, more time to work on the Mack's! We've probably been on some of the same fire scenes and didn't even know it.... Propane job on I-287, apartment fire in Pelham with the FDNY boys, a call or two at HPN...
