Had the same problem with my 2000 E7 460. Added additional oil line kit and not much improvement.next oil change added 2 gallons of Lucas and 100 percent improvement.

Several years back there was a Mack service bulletin on the two piece plastic tank to replace with a one piece stainless tank. Not sure of dates but somewhere from mid 90’s to mid 2000’s. I had a 99 CH613 and a 2000 CHX613 that experienced the same problem. Changed the tank and no more problem

The name is Quaker Steak and Lube in Sharon, PA and it is on the Shenango River. It is located in a former Quaker State gas station and is a very unique bar/restaurant well known for their wings. They franchised locations in several states. They recently went bankrupt and were bought by TA, yes the truck stop company.

When I had my ‘58 B Model dump I asked about historical plates and was told the truck can only be used for antique truck functions - shows, travel to antique meetings, parades, meets, etc. I asked about hauling something for myself such as mulch or gravel and was told no. Bought regular plates rather than take the chance.

When I bought my 1958 B 6, I also bought an original Mack rebuild kit for the engine in this truck, END 673. I have recently sold the truck and do no need this rebuild kit. It includes pistons, rods, liners, rings and bearings all in boxes and labeled. I will be glad to take pics and sent to anyone interested. I plan on going to Macungie and can take with me if sold. Did you replace the two piece plastic expansion tank with the one piece metal expansion tank? Years ago Mack issued a service bulletin about problems with the plastic tanks.

Having spent my entire working career in funeral service, with the last 20 plus years owning my own funeral home, I have experienced several deaths due to improper support of a vehicle while being under it. Also, included in this is not properly supporting a dump bed while working on it. A friend of mine was killed when his bus came down on him. He was leaving for vacation and decided to check something under the bus while waiting for his wife. The bus was running and his dog was inside the bus. He crawled partially under the bus and his dog started running around trying to find him and hit the dump valve for the air. The bus came down on him and was found when his wife came out to leave for their trip. We can't be too careful when working on equipment.

RVING is a great lifestyle. I been doing it since 1992. My choice was motorhome rather than a 5th wheel or any pull behind. That is me I'm not condemming the non motorhome lifestyle. Anything to get out an see this great country and spend time with family is fantastic. I can sit for hours and talk travel adentures with you. For example, we were visiting our daughter and her family for an evening while enroute to another destination. We were parked in a walmart and our grandson in second grade spent the night with us. Our daughter picked him up the next morning and took him to school. He was telling everyone he spent the night in a Walmart parking lot but neglected to tell he was with us and in our motorhome. Wasn't too long before our daughter got a phone call from a school official wanting an explaination. Which ever route you go research it thoroughly and sit back and enjoy the lifestyle.
