  1. Thanks for letting us know Vinny. Will certainly keep him in our prayers and keep us posted on his condition.
  2. Sorry to hear about the General. In life we have to make emotional decisions and business decision and you just made a business decision. I know what you are going thru, I felt the same way when I sold my 2000 Mack Vision. Business decisions can be heart wrenching.
  3. I've been involved in many shows within the funeral industry when I worked for a casket company and they are very costly. Most convention centers are highly unionized and that is reflected in the cost. The semi driver opened the trailer doors and backed into the dock. From that point convention center employees unloaded the trailer and moved everything to the proper display area. We couldn't even plug in lights; had to have their electricians plug in the lights. If we wanted to move a light had to call convention center people to do this. Yes, conventions are very costly and many industries are cutting back.
  4. Hi Mike, Ruthann and I will keep you in our prayers.
  5. Happy birthday Ron. Have a great day and since you are at Macungie I hope it is a dry day.
  6. Me too Ken. I'm not parking in the mud, or potential mud, with the bus.
  7. Chris. Sent you a PM
  8. Ken, I put mine on the inside of a compartment door. Protected from sun, rain, all elements, etc.

We all have to start somewhere and it is usually the bottom whether it is our chosen career path or gaining driving experience. If we stop and think back we have all made mistakes; some of us admit to them and others don't. We need to be a little more tolerant of the rookies.
  10. I built a 32 X 60 building for the home of my bus, think motorhome. I used ceiling mounted radiant heat and am very satisfied with it. The walls are 2 x 6 X 16 studs which allows for a 14 x 14 overhead door and 6 inches of wall insulation. The ceiling is nearly 17 feet high. The concrete floor is 6 inches thick consisting of fiber reinforcement and rebar. My bus weighs almost 50,000 lbs and I do not have a single crack in it after 7 years. It has center floor drains and running water. I have since added a lean-to on either side for additional covered protection for outdoor equipment. A pit is nice but it greatly restricts the use of the building. I thought about having one in mine but decided against it and have not regretted it.
  11. Sorry to hear about Mack. It's never easy to lose a four legged child
  12. Happy Birthday. Have a great day.
  13. When I had my E7 460, if I down shifted at 1200 it was four ways on and everyone past me; downshift at 1400 I held my own and no four ways.
  14. Check out any Amish saw mills near you. I think you can get a better price from them than others.
  15. Are there any sawmills in your area? You should be able to get a decent price on wood. White oak was recommended to me when I was going to replace a trailer deck.
  16. Looks great Carl. You will really enjoy it.
  17. Good job Larry. With all of your experience you can come and help me.
  18. Barry, The Cobra 29 CB radio that I won on the 12 days of Christmas giveaway arrived today. Thank-you very much and also to Watts Mack.
  19. Congratulations! I've been retired for 5 years; it's a great life.
