At our workplace union members do get fire for stealing, fighting, fail second drug test, fail second alcoholic test, too many accident, not pass the 6 month probation, etc. In past 10 years 25 members at PennDOT, 4 members at PLCB and 1 member at State Police Troop K were let go for breaking work rules. The last one that was let go because he fail to renew his state inspection license and another one at PLCB got 5 day suspend and it comes with a final warning for use profanity I do hold a title with union which is non pay. For past 18 years I hold the position of President of AFSCME Local 1952 and work for Pennsylvania Dept. of Transportation full time. Local 1952 have a staff that is a VP, Treasurer, 3 members of EB, Recording Secretary and 3 Trustee which all is non-pay position with union

The government ask the people to give up so many things to help war effort. Gasoline, meat, and clothing were tightly rationed. Most families were allocated 3 US gallons per week. Production of most durable goods, like new housing, vacuum cleaners, and kitchen appliances, was banned until the war ended. There was so much this people did to help with war effort you can write a novel. So we are at war against a virus call Covid 19 and the government ask people to social distance and wear a mask around other people to help to stop the spread of this virus. But a lot of people complain why should we follow the government ask. But those people 80 years ago did what was need to win the war. Rember there is no I in TEAM and we are all members of same TEAM a proud citizen of USA regards of race. religion belief, left wing. right wing. union member, non-union member, female, male . Ok we need to get some facts about the bus incident that happen in Philadelphia. It was not Philadelphia Police that was involved but SEPTA police was involved. SEPTA police is not control by city. It all start when the bus driver ask someone to use a face a cover and that person refused to cover his face, Prior day or so three SEPTA employee died of the virus and 11 were test positive. Also Philadelphia Police have 52 officer test positive with one death. That officer and another office that was kill in of duty never got a honor funeral because of virus. There is 80 Philadelphia Fire Fighters that is test positive for virus. Sorry put that person should be removed from SEPTA bus because driver should have the right to be protective Also rember the story of Detroit bus driver that died after someone cough on him.

Why I heard that they do not have clear idea how many pass away, was or now sick or recover. For example in January and February before it became household name. People thought people pass away because of flu, are sick with flu are recover from flu in fact they may have the virus instead. Same goes when a person pass away most time they were never test for the virus. One death is too much
