    • Your right Hippy...  I had this engine about 2 years.  It is for a B-61 Restoration.  The guy that owns it stopped me on it it so I could build 5 other engines for him and do major work on his 3 super liners..  well I put everything away in my engine room, but this tote..  I had covered it with old bed sheets that I use to cover my work..  I'm just glad I remembered it..   so now I have a all that on and the timing gears as well.. Tomorrow I will continue. hope to get the injection pump on, and the front cover..  I still have to go to the owners shop to get a bunch of parts that he kept..  Jojo

    • That was the trick!! Now if we weren't in a drought I would be able to use them lol.
    • I am looking for rims for my 1930 BC. Exactly like the picture.
    • Bidenomics???   Is how to rape the working class, in order to provide freebie's for the non-working Low Class..
    • I had the rocker shafts and pushrods all along..  I had a tote hidden behind 'stuff'..  In it was the parts I needed..   👍   I still need the fuel lines though..
    • My kids just turned 3 & 6 last month...so yeah, I understand why some would give it up for that reason. I probably put 2500 miles per month on 2 wheels riding to work every day from February last year when gas got stupid through November when I finally got around to replacing the heads on my Ranger that had overheated in December the year before. Saved $150/week in fuel vs driving the Suburban. It's only $25/week cheaper on fuel than the Ranger, but tires need replacing every other month vs every other year...so the cost-per-mile is actually lower to drive the Ranger than the motorcycles. Ranger transmission has been getting a bit noisy with gear whine, so I've been riding if rain isn't in the forecast while my buddy who's good at tearing apart & rebuilding transmissions is out of town. This one has only been in there about 3 years, but was used & I don't know its history. I've got the one I pulled out then when it let go after years of abuse flat-towing it around in neutral without dropping the driveshaft. Need to get it rebuilt so it's ready to go in when this one cries uncle. Good thing about the swap this time is that I won't be on my back in the driveway doing the work outside in the weather. He's got his shop built with lifts and everything...gonna be warm, dry, and comfortable this time around.

Well  the time has come , the pickup bed is being built as I write .  It will look similar to the ad in the Saturday Evening Post  March  6 / 1943 that  MACK  had . I  am using Wilson trailer deck planks for the floor , because in the ad the slogan was " my middle name is Work " . If all goes well it should be  PETTY  SPECIAL .  I  guess for now it is one step at a time .

      E7 454 Random/ intermediate shutdown
hey guys ive got a 1998 CHR Vmac 2 with a E7 454 engine, truck is a salt field truck that has come into the workshop for a suspected electrical fault, engine will start to stall and then grab revs last minute before shutting off, then idle fine with no faults, or will stall all together and then when u try to start it again it will crank with no start. when it first came in  battery's where dead, alternator belts where extremely loose and main battery earth cable was split. replaced battery's fixed earth cable, tightened up belt then checked DTC's only found three fault in system, ( fuel rack position sensor/ current below normal or open circuit, Fuel actuator/ current below normal or open circuit and Timing sensor/ data erratic, intermittent or incorrect).
with these faults i checked over the wiring to the inline pump and found the connector had bear wires showing, replaced and re-pined a new plug, and repaired a few other rubbed wire's in the engine harness by the alternator. once done cleared codes in the truck, truck started up fine and would run fine for a while drove around yard no problem for two days but then when i went to park up on the fence for customer truck faulted again tried checking for any DTC's nothing was logged both active or inactive. if anyone's come across a fault that sounds the same and has a idea what to check out that would be great as this is the first time in dealing with this old of a truck.
      UPDATE...
found out what was wrong. the customer has had this truck at another shop for the same faults and didnt say anything about it, but what they did was cut all the wires at the ECU and ran 7 core trailer wiring out the LHS of the Cab firewall all the way to the pump, Bypassing the cab loom and engine harness, but what they did was they wired it up wrong at the pump side and ECU plug, finally found a wiring diagram and yeah found what they had done, so re-wired it all and put a new RPM/TDC sensor on and now she runs like a dream.

You say you have some parts, I also have many (not the window felts you seek tough) am looking for the plastic tube that goes to the air cleaner, the one that come straight off the cleaner, not the one that come off at an angle if you have??. Also looking for a cap for the air cleaner, to match the one I have, if you have any extras to sell a pic would be awesome.

I have a '59 B61 with quadruplex transmission.  There is WAY too much free travel in the clutch pedal, but, if you start it in gear, it creeps ahead.  I need to adjust the clutch and take some of the free travel out, which should also solve the creep problem.  I cannot find an adjuster bolt on the clutch.  Can this clutch be adjusted on the clutch itself or does it have to be done via the linkage?  The only thing that I can see through the inspection hole on the clutch face is a big hex head bolt that looks like it takes an inch and an eighth wrench.  This doesn't look like an adjuster.
