    • Wow, sorry for your loss  But a cool looking truck   Paul
    • I dunno During the millennial drought that sort of sorted out large area's of this wide brown land called Australia  I was dairy farming back then and watching the Princess and mine dreams blow away in the dust storms These are my photos          Not my photo, but dust storms would roll on through like this every week These came all to often, I discovered a kinda famous celebrity type of fella from the US of A called Dr Phil and he has lots of wise words and some of these are mentioned bellow  "Do you wanna be right or do you wanna be happy" So bearing this in mind ever since, I  make it a concious choice to try and be happy  During that 10 year drought on average we had 1 Australian farmer comit suicide every 14 days Kinda puts things into perspective for dumb asses like me  And no matter what I think at the moment, I always choose the "I wanna be happy" Life is so incredibly temporary and is gone in less than a heart beat, this isn't no made up bull shit I guess I understand fully how you feel and who you maybe talking about  But I challenge you to be the bigger man  Anyway, if I'm in doubt I kinda reflect on another fella from the good old US of A, Paul Harvey, "I Believe in my god, I believe in my country and I believe in myself, and in that order"  I can't believe I'm quoting Yanks, but they do make some sense some times I guess in a long winded way, some times it pays to let shit go and move on Also to quote another Yank, I can't believe I'm quoting Seppo's  Morgan Wallen And if there's a dirty spot on your windscreen I have a answer for that as well ha ha  Smile and learn to let stuff go   Paul
    • As far as My reaction being Childish. I don't  care honestly but I won't be personally attacked and my experience in the industry or business industry be invalidated by anyone. Especially someone whose done it numerous times and I've extended the "Olive Branch" too numerous Times as well. Sorry if people feel I'm Childish but I don't back down from Nobody...You Come at me I'm going to push back and you're gonna git the Smoke. I didn't git this far in the trucking industry or life in general By backing down.
    • I have been searching for manuals and wiring diagrams for my truck and the only ones I see(manuals) that may work are on eBay.  The manuals are for a R600 truck.  I am thinking that this is the 600 series and would include the RD688.   Don’t want to buy the wrong manuals so any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks.
    • Speaking of International and the Harvester Home Coming. My Friend Troy Link Won Heavy Weight Champion Acouple years ago With this 1979 4070 B Brahm Edition Cabover. He restored it from the ground up in his shop in Homer Michigan. Unfortunately he lost his battle with Throat Cancer Last year. He was Affectionately known as Chicken Troy due to his love of Chicken lights 😋.

      - I double sticked and old Mack to feed a stone crusher in 12 and 14 hour shifts six days a week all summer to pay for my chemistry degree.
      - Because I wanted to sleep for 1 min and 26 seconds each trip out of the quarry at the crusher's vibratory dump box at the top the quarry during those 12 hour shifts, I bulled the old MACK up long 20 degree and sometimes steeper grades.
      - THAT meant that I split each gear 1, 2, 3 after coming out of boggy low.
      - All I did was rev to the right engine note, reach my left arm down through the steering wheel to hold the curve I was on or hold the truck's path steady; slip out of 1st, throw the 2nd stick high into low and slip into 2nd gear... rev to the right engine pitch, slip to high.
      - Then when it was time, reach through the wheel again, slip high to low and 2nd to 3rd {if I correctly remember 60 years ago}.
      - The Igneous rocks were too heavy and the grade too steep for me to ever get into 3rd high.
      - The crusher team were the mechanics for everything and had replaced the old Mack's tranny gears because they had been ground too much. - - They later told me they didn't believe me when I told them I slipped all my shifts because the gears showed no wear.
      - Except for start and stop; Not once did I use the clutch because that made my leg ache too much after an hour or so.
      - I slipped all my standard 4 speed shift vehicles all my life...just to be with the music of the engine and car or truck.

      - I hardly ever change disc pads or brake shoes because I always slipped my gears downshifting...
      _ I learned that because the synchro rings got shot on my 1968 Volvo 122S 2-Door 4-Speed with an electric overdrive because I stupidly speed shifted and ruined them. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1968-volvo-122s-17/
      - [Note: That Volvo's original owner was a Canadian Submarine Captain who rallied it and that is why it had Volvo's unique electric overdrive.]

      - {I clear coated over the bone white with Cadillac Firemist Green and painted the grills Black because they were dented...gosh it was stunning.}
