    • The type I think is supposed to have is what I have heard termed "vari-rate" spring pack, with a main pack and an aux pack above it, the top leaf on the main has the eye on one end to take the torque load. Very common single rear suspension. edit: may not be the top leaf, but one of the leaves in the main pack has the eye on one end.
    • Lol, old dude I bought this truck off a couple years ago was a farmer. No offense to farmers but they don’t seem very committed to putting it back right, more of just make it work kinda situations.
    • Yeah,I saw the spring and thought "what the heck is going on here" but don't know Macks all that well, and don't claim to have seen everything so didn't say anything.
    • you are correct, one portion of the tank (larger portion is primary tank and smaller portion of tank is secondary. It has a small tank inside rail of frame for air compressor relief valves and governor psi. I do have a couple of nice small tanks off a late model RD that I could use, but back to your question, I’m not sure if it would supply the right amount of volume with out breaking out the calculator to do some un welcomed math.lol. I could pretty easily do the two tank mount and leave primary on drivers side and move secondary (I believe, maybe I have that reversed) to passenger side with a small amount of re routing lines.    It’s a single axle, the picture with the axle under the truck is the way it was when I bought the truck. It’s some kind of home made setup. The trailing bar set up was used with mack hangers. Which isn’t correct as mack hangers need an eyelid spring pack to be correct. The truck had the open hook on both ends of spring. This was causing drive line shift and vibrations and the trialing arm was some kinda home made deal. I’m going back with correct spring and pins and remove trailing arm all together.
    • 2011 MP7 with Eaton Autoshift engine went bad. Trying to put MP7 out of 2015 that had a MDrive in. The flywheel interchanges but will not let transmission go all the way in. Likes about an inch before going flush. Seems like pilot bearing is not deep enough in flywheel. Do mdrive and Eaton use same gear housing? What am I not seeing?
    • Sorry guys I’ve been absent from the site for a while, just wanted to follow up on my findings.  a little background on the truck, we bought the truck originally inop from auction. Found it to have a bad PCM so we replaced it and the truck ran great.  Fast forward a couple of months into service and we had this issue happen.  The truck could never complete a regen. We eventually got the truck back to our shop where we could properly diagnose it. We removed the dpf to inspect it and found our problem, it had been hollowed out, the old pcm was deleted and we had no clue.  We replaced all emissions components and reset parameters on PTT and life has been good since.   Just figured this info could help someone in the future, if your truck never finishes its regens and all else looks good, take a look physically into your dpf.
    • Hello everyone. To go to 350 with this engine is it just turbo and injectors change? Also apparently this engine has an air throttle. Can a mechanical pedal rod be hooked to this inj pump easily?

Hey Mike! Sorry to bug ya on here, I just bought a pallet of wine in Napa and think you may have done the same. I bought the blue label and it said you won the yellow label. I was wondering if you would be up for trading a few cases so we arent stuck with so many of just 1 type of wine?

Quick question on the advice you gave me about my ai400 cam/lifter replacement kit.
would you have a rough estimate on the time it would take to do the actual replacement with kit? I have everything removed I’m just ready to open up the front of the engine and get to the cam. Thanks
