  1. I still need to find a home for his mac truck with FULL quarry hauling open trailer - I know the trailer is worth quite a bit - but I'm sure his truck has not been maintained in a few years - and would need someone knowledgeable in getting it running. any ideas on how to proceed with that sale? any advice is appreciated - thanks Dan (P.S. I can take pics the next time Im out by his house - if needed for an accurate solution to this) Thanks in advance - Dan
  2. WELL - Unfortunately my sister is in control of my brothers stuff - and she sold it for 6k - that guy made out like a bandit .... It really ticked me off considering he got 3 engines, 3 transmissions, the antique fire bell and siren (worth 1,000), an extra chain, and my brother had 5 good tires (worth 2k each) in the garage also - and she friggin gave it all away !!!!! he basically paid for the 5 tires and got everything else for free. And then she sold his Ford F150 Pickup truck (for $1,000) to one of the guys working for that guy --- that had a plow attached to it, a engine hoist crane bolted to the bed frame, and a bed-lift under the bed - that made it into a dump truck -- I SWEAR MY BROTHER IS ROLLING IN HIS GRAVE --- WOMEN SHOULD NOT SELL MECHANICAL ITEMS - they have no sense of value - It all turns my stomach.
  3. no it was always a dump truck - the bell and the siren were used only for parades - are you interested in buying by chance? The 1st guys offer just was increased to 6k
  4. the first guy offered ONLY 5k - ARE THERE ANY BETTER OFFERS? That was just way too low in my opinion
  5. My brother passed away and my sister has just become his financial Personal Representative of his assets after months of probate - So she is in control of all his assets and she is looking to me (her other brother) to help sell our brothers truck. This Antique truck (seen in the pictures attached) has (I believe 3 transmissions and 2 engines - seen in the pics as well. The truck was ran in parades approx. 10 years ago but my brother became ill and It just sat and Illinois weather has taken its toll on this cool truck - I know my brother did not have to do much to get it running each year - but then again it has been sitting. We currently have a person interested and will be at the house on Thursday afternoon (he will be the first to look at it) But I am posting this just in case he has no interest. I spoke to my sister and she is looking for approx. 15k for the truck and all the parts (My brother may have some extra tires - but I will have to confirm that). There is a neat Antique Fire Department bell attached as well and estimate the value of the bell to be between $600-$800 itself - some one out there may be the person who could restore this to it's glory days (I have seen this same truck in restored quality sell for 70k in auction. please only serious buyers reply because we are looking to sell this and his quarry hauling truck by early summer. The truck is in Lyons Illinois. Any potential buyer would need to have the ability of hauling the truck away by flatbed. Feel free to call me at 1-219-210-2243 - IF this truck is posted it is still available (I will take down the posting once a buyer is found. IF you are not interested and know someone who might be please feel free to share my cell phone number - Thanks in advance - Dan
