    • I don't put much faith in GWP reporting, but not failing a blood test says the DUI Charges were not valid. None of that has any bearing on the fact that he killed people only that the DUI charge is not valid. There were reports of a Colorado LEW that was charging people with DUI's that were fake to up his number (and ruining the lives of those charged and not convicted) There is no room in this country for these "fly by night" trucking operations. As one who operated my own I know what it takes to do the job right, and these sleezey operations should never even get a DOT number. The DOT is supposed to cross-check new applicants for previous numbers, and an address that pops up again and again in new filings should be a red flag, along with similar names. They should at least flag for further investigation, but doesn't seam that happens, and now with all the jobs cut I suspect it will not improve that fact. How many innocent lives lost, is worth the cuts?
    • Lencos are okay, but for a light, lower power car they rob too much power. Btw, I know the Willy's, he's local to me.  SLER racing is four friends, using first letter of last name for SLER.  Stump, ?, Ellison, Rodenhaven.  The "L" has the Willy's.  If CRS was so bad these days I would remember his name.  Been racing with them for 20+ yrs. If you look at their channel from last fall, I was running Scott Stump's Comet.  Scott has been loosing his eyesight and is legally blind now.  He wants me to run his comet.  272ci (300 six), Doug Nash.  I got it going hi 10, and still more in it.  I'm 100# lighter, he only got lo 11 from it.
    • Likely REO 440 powered. (Not the same as a Mopar)
    • This was the most recent mention of Diamond Reos that I could remember here on the forum so I thought I would post this here. Yesterday this guy was behind me. I saw him coming and he passed by me when I was waiting to pull out going the same direction he was. I eventually caught up to him and got in front of him. I still cant believe he is running this thing in 2025. It was a dump truck and in pretty decent shape. I'm thinking it is a early to mid 70's Apollo 101 model of some sort. At several red lights I was able to see it had a valid inspection sticker on the windshield. It was a gasser of some sort and probably some kind of road ranger transmission. When we would come to a stop at red lights I could hear him shift the transmission range down to low. I believe he was empty at the time but the thing scooted along pretty well for being an old gasser. just thought is was neat to see one of these still working in 2025. It actually boggles my mind lol.
    • IHC sold all their old inventory to "Parts depot" and sometimes it is amazing what is still available NOS. Want a new rear hub for a 1940's rear axle, yep we've got one (just be prepared to pay through the nose).  Does Mack doing anything similar?
    • I'd love to try one of these Lencos. I'm a chevy guy though. Back in the day I was a mopar guy with a 440 roadrunner, but I got into the small blocks when I realized how much less money I had to spend. Itching to build an LS with a lenco. I've got a nice clean 88 S10 2 wheel drive Blazer I want to put it in. My first plan was a 400 block, with something like a 327 crank. I even thought about a 3.1 inch 262 crank, but I think I can get more bang for my buck out of an LS
    • But hey, in order for me to get a CDL, I have to either take a lot of time off work, or not have weekends for several months. Surely this keeps bad drivers from ever getting a CDL, right?
    • Sales figures probably has a lot to do with it, we somewhat purge old inventory when we have a chance.

I recently purchased a 2005 mack granite cv713 dump truck.
Problem one: I only get a check engine when it idles for more then 10 mins and they are all low/shorted/open circuit codes.
Problem 2: the truck pulls a load with great power until 4th and especially when I kick it in high range. The truck will pull good and then acts like I reduced to half throttle. No smoke or anything. Then I will hold it at the floor and it will kick in to full power again.  It goes on and off when it wants. Might stay full power. Might not, until I get a load off it(go down hill or flat)
