In one of the many hard cover Mack picture books, there's a pic or 2 of a purple MH with a big Q on the air deflector and Art Quiring on the doors. That truck had a 8V92TTA and a Allison,it sold several years ago at the local US Auctioneers monthly truck auction. Also several years ago I saw a small group of very plain MH's on a Taylor and Martin auction that had 6V92TTA's. I'd bet they didn't make a whole lot of either one.

The last bunch of R models that Campbell's 66 Express (Humpin' to Please) bought had 6V-92's in them. They went under shortly after that.

IF YOU BOUGHT IT, A TRUCK BROUGHT IT..AND WHEN YOU'RE DONE WITH IT, A TRUCK WILL HAUL IT AWAY!!! Big John Trimble,WRVA

Oil leakage is far over overblown about two stroke DD's...I've had people try to convince me EVERY one leaves giant puddles every where they sit,and nothing can be done about it .

Maybe not a big puddle but everyone I've been around leaves a noticeable spot.... I still like them. Good motors.

After being in a small Brockway cab for 2-3 hours with a Detroit singing, you are more than happy to shut it off!

Just like a B model? LOL!!! I keep trying to find places to put sound deadener........

Vlad thanks for the detailed explanation. I am suprised not many old trucks of any make survived in Russia (Soviet Union). Any specific reason for this ? Thanks Joe D.

Joe, our talk looks like off-topic although I continue because it might be interesting to others.

First reason is that from the beginning of 20th sentury there were revolution, WW1, civilian war, than WW2 and the Cold war wich wasn't a war for shure although took a lot of labour and other resources. So people overhere started to live relatively good to have a serious hobby about 15-20 years ago. As we speak about trucks there was another and very strong factor. During socialist politic there was a basic princip of communism - prohibitation of private property for any production facility. Actually you couldn't register property of any commercial vehicle until about 1990.

Никогда не бывает слишком много грузовиков! leversole 11.2012
