I just dont understand why they are fighting like a bunch of fucking 4 year olds knowing the people they represent are the ones that will suffer, you better believe they arent going to take no pay for the duration of this shutdown. Now why is it that national cememtaries and the national monuments and other national parks, etc had to be closed, as i recall they are just open to the outside, there is no one there to admit you, no electricity, so the govt spent who knows how many hundreds of thousands of dollars to hire security and pay law enforcement to patrol the areas and keep them cordoned off, uh why does that not make sense to me? I wonder if they will withhold all the welfare checks and all the free cell phones during this shut down, uh no why would they hurt their key source of voters. The new Healthcare reform bill is a piece of shit from one end to the other, I got a letter in the mail from work letting me know the new rules and that I am above the minimum standards so mine wont change until I have to use it, then my copays triple and after this contract is up our insurace that is capped at $200/mo now will also double. I love the way the act is worded it makes so little sense its hilarious, so one of the lines is that federal law requires each state to make a health care exchange to be used as a marketplace for healthcare insurance, and govornment subsidies are available for coverage purchased there but only if your employer does not offer health care insurance or it fails to meet the federal affordable coverage guidlines. Ok so the affordable coverage guidlines state that if the cost of a plan from your employer that covers you alone (single coverage) is no more than 9.5% of your yearly "household" income it is considered affordable, wtf? That means if I was married and my wife and i both earned $100,000/yr we would have household income of $200,000/yr so my single coverage is considered affordable if it costs less than $19,000/yr, are you freaking kidding me, thats almost $1600/month for single coverage! The plans also meet federal "minimum value" limits as long as the plan covers no less than 60% of the covered services. In conclusion if you have a household income of $100,000/yr, your insurance is considered affordable and has a legal minimum value if it costs you less than $9500/yr and if you have a major surgery that costs $100,000 you only have to cover $40,000 of the cost, wow, thanks obama for the great insurance there, only $49,500 out of pocket. I sure am glad Im not just goin this alone and having to come up with a ridiculous amount of money out of pocket or anything, I mean wow if I didnt have that great insurance I might end up owing medical bills for a few years. The FACTS are that this is going to cost a ton of money. The Feds can't keep the post office in the black, and can't run ANYTHING efficiently as they have no incentive to do so. When you don't have natural competition, there is no reason to provide good service and the life gets sucked out of whatever endevour they are undertaking. This is a redistribution of wealth and one more step in the direction of a socialist society. We are becoming the USSR as they are head toward a more capitalist society. Coruption becomes rampant, the people are no longer represented and as one government worker put it today, the level of frustration at not being heard is unbearable!!! Go figure.The deaper problem is that voting or not, we are not represented. The percentage of voters against Obamacare is overwealming but it moves forward anyway. Romeny was a poor excuse for a "conservative" candidate and frankly he got the ball rolling with Romneycare here in the peoples republic of Taxachusetts. I'm so dam sick of people telling me how I should live, what insurance I can buy and so on it's not funny. WE are the people and the govenrment has gotten out of control We refuse to secure our borders from every third world hell hole as if it is our responsibility to take care of the world. This is to get voters or chap labor depending upon what side of the aisle you are on. The problem is that us working stiffs can't carry the load for all teh dead weight and labor rates are driven down as a result of the glut of people willing to work for $8.00 an hour. Again, free enterprise has a solution for that if you close the border. The country will be defeated from within by greed and coruption and nobody cares or is willing to do a dam thing about it. "We" are so willing to give away all that our forefathers fought and died for as if we are guilty for having built a successful and great contry. With the lack of constitutional law abidance, we are screwed. WE either follow it as it was intended or we are done. It may already be too late as we clearly no longer have the will to enforce existing law (review imigration law vs what we "allow" for example) Congress spent a bunch of time trying to pass laws that say the same dam thing that is already law that the government refuses to and infact prevents from being inforced. We need a solution and we need to VOTE for officials that follow constutional LAW and I don't mean like Obama who says one thing and does another every day. IT's the old piss down my back and tell me its raining thing...Otherwise kiss America good bye. IT will cease to exist. If you owne a company they make it impossible to succeed or start one. Only with cheeting taxes using offshore accounts and more back road shit they stay in business.The one that start a company are going bankrupt with in 5 years due to the goverment impute or bullshit regulations. I started with nothing in this country and build up something nice only to fear that we be coming the same as European socialism that don't work and loose it all. Also thanks to the brave American soldiers our country got there freedom back during worldwar 2 . America should walk from the European approach and keep the country the way it was founded.
