Spokes could be saved on the rears on my personal taste but it turned out like a sharp looking truck.

Congratulations!

Yes a bit of chrome and polishing up the aluminum makes a big difference.

Screw the purists. If you have the time, resources, and most importantly the desire to keep it original than so be it. if not well, to each his own. You worked hard the the finished product looks great!

I probably wouldn't have done the rears but my parts truck had aluminum budds hubs on the rear all I really needed is the longer inner nuts for the thicker aluminum wheels.

I was looking for you also. Riding along on the locomotive sounds like a good time.

Yea if I know you had some pull with getting in the locomotive cab I would have been there with ya... LOL.... Truck was looking good. We only stayed for a little over an hour this year. We took our 65' Cadillac to the show as we stayed by some friends in Crystal lake last night. Went in had lunch, stopped over by the trucks to see some friends real quick. Got a quick look at the Frisco then went home for a nice Sunday afternoon nap. What a great Day!
