  1. Mcrafty As long as you have your pictures in your computer, go to the bottom right of the reply box and click on "More Reply Options" and then follow the instructions.
  2. Tim I am with Vlad.. Great scenery pictures..Keep them coming.. A lot of us enjoy learning the rest of the geography and history of other countries, besides their trucking. The "Down Under OZ, NZ" topic on the Just Old Trucks website is well over 200 pages long and we discuss a little of everything from trucks to snakes to guns to country music to growing cotton.
  3. That B model tanker is similiar to the one James Suttles (ATHS past pres) has painted and lettered Matlack green and yellow.
  4. Looking good!! A great job... Looking forward to another picture with the rear wheels done like the steering.. Definaately a show stopper where ever you take it..
  5. LOOKS Great!!! How do you keep the fiberglass and paint from melting???
  6. That looks like a Minnisota plate? And twin steers were more common in Canada. So I would say it is North American, otherwise it might be the product of one of the European shops that recabbed WW2 stuff after the war??
  7. Here is a link to some pictures from the show.. There are some good looking Macks mixed in near the end: http://forums.justoldtrucks.com/74506/Photos-of-the-2015-Central-California-ATHS-Show-formerly-the-Kirkland-show
  8. I have never seen a side dump in action either.. Looks like they would roll over sitting still, let alone dumping on the move..
  9. Paul From the context I would say it is the name of the trucking company?
  10. If it is a hobby truck just going to shows I would not worry about it.. You can always fabricate one.. How about the bottom of a 2 liter pop bottle??? or something simalier??
  11. The 10:00 X 20 tube type tire become a 11 X 22.5 Tubeless tire. as to the metric these are mostly the low profile tires and will let someone else answer that.
  12. Quite a tour this week.. Thanks for the pictures.. Have delivered powdered clay with a pnuematic trailer to Koppers in Follensbee about 35 years ago..What a DUMP!!
  13. Paul That pipe and pump is probably because it was a street washer in the summer..
  14. Peter Some how I think (????) that is an aftermarket addition.. Some where I read about a company who made them for several different brands?? Wasn't there a F model with one pictured here about a year or two ago??
  15. There is a whole big story on them in the Nov/Dec 2010 issue of the ATHS Wheels of Time.. 844 CI just smaller than a Cummins. Turbocharged, intercooled. Vlad they were in the Late 60's early 70's.. Would out run nything on the road BUT had serious realiability problems and never took off.
  16. Rob Great Pictures!! Thanks for sharing your scenery.. Do your mountains help control the late frosts in the spring and early fall, like the big lakes do in upstate New York??? Nice looking F-850, Diesel or gas??
  17. West Virginia has some of what they call "High Water Bridges" normally the water goes thru a culvert but can flow over the top when high.. Definitely puts some pucker factor into the crossing!!
  18. FWD Doug may have a better person, But just address it to the Editor of DC and send it to the Boyertown PO Box..
  19. Yeah, It is Aussie, the steering wheel is on the "wrong"side!!! My squint says Ford, The Dodge windshield wrapped around further..
  20. FWD All you have to do it start with a list of facts, thoughts, ideas, high points, things you want to say. Then put each of those items into a sentence as if you were telling some one about it in a BS session. The editors will straighten our your grammer, word useage, contintuity and spelling(!!!!!!)
  21. OD That is neat.. The same piece of road in all 4 seasons.. Thanks much for your weekly phototour of your travels Brocky
  22. In the last 20 years of being associated with the VF (Vanity Fair) Corp the owners of Wrangler and Lee blue jeans, Red Cap work clothes, North Face yuppie clothes, and other similiar companys. They have gone from umteen cutting and sewing plants in the States, and a few in Mexico and Costa Rica, to ONLY 5 distribution centers. Absolutly nothing, except for very little raw cloth, is made here anymore. When they started closing plants I asked "How does America expect to sustain our economy with no manufacturing?" I am afraid our grand children will find out the hard way...
  23. As Joe D said in an earlier post, The 6V53 will turn 2800 RPM. No Idea how fast the original gas engine turned but probably not much more than that? Unless you are planning some long road trips you should be OK.. Remember you have to stop it also and those old brake systems were not that effiecnt either..
  24. Have met his nephew(??) Ivan in Snead AL at the Heart of Dixie show.
