    Is that a tag axle?? Or home made screw??? Ford did not introduce a tandem drive until 1954 with the T-800..

    I am glad they finally attracted some Antique / Historical vehicles.. I have never driven the long 4 hours up to that show as I had heard it primarily caters to the Show and Shine crowd. Our chapter VP, Jack Ledford, always goes up.

    I am about 6 of one to a half dozen the other.. It is a long 4 hours to either. But half of our chapter is going to Cherokee!!

    I am planning on Cherokee also. Probably will not take the Diamond T?? That way I do not have to be as early and stay as long. Also will not need an expensive motel room in the area!!!

    Dave, Thank You!!!! That last picture has some of the construction equipment in the background. It is always interesting and educational to walk around that part of the facility.

    It was 2013 when a buddy and I went up to Lititiz. Roger Gerhart was a Northwest crane and equipment dealer. His family still runs an equipment repair business out of the big shop. Here are a few pictures from then:

    I was there about 15 years ago and wish I could go back again.. As well as the trucks here are many pieces of construction operating also. You can spend several hours inspecting his boneyard and sheds.

    Back in the late 60's going north on I-81 in Syracuse NY in a C-800 city tractor, I had two women in a big old 3 row station wagon decided she did not want to get off in the Exit Only lane she was in!! Cut in front of me and I jumped on the brakes!! I can still see the looks on the faces of the kids facing and looking out the back window.. Luckily I got slowed enough to let her go and she probably never Knew how close she came to killing her three kids.

    The Bally's brunch buffet was $5.95 or $6.95 for all you could eat with no time limit, and in those days I could put away a LOT!!! In about 2008 we had a Wrangler/Lee sales convention load to the RIO hotel in Las Vegas, their buffets started at $25 and went up.. My wife and I got lucky Sat night and were invited to join the salesmen at their buffet for free. It was cheaper to eat off the menu in the restaurant. After we got reloaded Sunday AM we stopped a a small casino in Searchlight for lunch. Prime Rib dinner for $5.95!!!!!

    I am guessing that these busses are for industrial transportation??? Mining industry???? Although the busses I rode during my public school time had Brockway chassis!!

    Both RCA and Polygram records had warehouses in Sparks. Had to deliver first thing in the AM then wait until 5 PM to see if they had anything going to LA. We quit eating there after we found Bally's had a Brunch buffet for a lot less!!

    I have spent quite a lot of time at the Alamo back in the late 80's and early 90's when I ran Sparks a lot.

    That cherry red turbo was almost as good as a foot of fire on a 220 stack!!!

    Enjoy yourself!!!!! and take plenty of pictures so the rest of can cry in our beer over what we missed.. Think the Hank SR and Hank Jr duet!!

    I can remember those F model day cabs pulling Fancy Gap, with the turbo about even with the back of the cab, glowing cherry red!!!

    I think (??) I see a spring under the shift lever to hold it up into the dogs?? Is it broken?? or lost it's tension????

    AS a tractor what did TVA use it for????? Moving Transformers????? Bob, I have seen 1400 X 24 tires on snow plows running singles in the "Lake Effect" region of upstate New York..

    YEAH!!!! This is a worldwide site.. Several Canadians, and Aussies. Paul from Ireland and Vlad from Moscow Russia!!!! Sounds like you need to pull the right seat and floor, jack the cab, and take the top cover off and inspect it close for wear and put a few new parts in it?????
