  1. Go to the Golia Services web site and check out the CL 700 on the home page. Wow nice! BKROIS that might be the one you caught the back of.
  2. That is what I was trying to find out, Can you buy a chassis from Mack or not? Then you would probably need to buy a cab. Don't think the harness would be applicable If you were adding pre emissions equipment. There is a company down south I believe that completes gliders for Paccar Western Star and Shacker
  3. Amazing photos. Keep up the good work. That LE sure has a unique frame. Doesn't seem like there are a lot of CH axle forwards(large cars) too bad.
  4. When I was at the macungie tour a completed chasis entered the back of the plant(obviously assembled elsewhere) The chasis had the frame, rears, suspension, crossmembers, front axle, mounting brackets etc. they were all painted as well. The only missing members were transmission, engine, cab & wiring, polution control eq, fuel tanks wheels, tires. It seems if you could purchase a chasis you could get quite creative. That is if you were glider savy.
  5. Why couldn't you just order a chasis like it comes into the back of the factory before assembly of transmission engine and cab It would be a glider without cab and harness
  6. How does frozen corn on the cob come out.
  7. Mr. Karbel Just like the sighting of a brand new B-61 on April 1 a few years back. Then again I wouldn't put it past Volvo.
  8. Marcel It's good to see that it will stay in the states. What did you do to get 700 hp out of the E-9. Do you have a sales web site? Looks like you take good care of your refer fleet from the looks of the MH. What is the mpg for a 700 hp E-9.
  9. Congradulations. Looks like a trucker in training.
  10. Mack is no competition to Navistar-Tatra/oskosh.
  11. Diamond-T's were like cornbinders with class and Quality.
  12. That my friends is just plain fugly when compared to an MH
  13. Thats the one and 5,000 dollars more to boot. Some truck broker out of Florida.
  14. Gorgeous MH 613 on truck paper. Black with red frame. Long wheel base. 700 horsepower E-9. 330,000 miles.$ 32,000. I wish them there dollars grew on trees. I think Vinny will give up on U-models if he sees this.
  15. Ah Its good to have an insider at Macungie.
  16. Mr Hancock thats funny. I am guessing they had some bad luck with the visions and thats how the columbias snuck in.
  17. A lot of people call them boat anchors however if you treat them right they will treat you right. Oil change, coolant change, keep the rpms down a little and downshift a little before needed. These are not torque engines but rpm engines. Just don' t go crazy on the rpm's.
  18. Do the same on the Mack web site as well.
  19. Submitted to Volvo web site 4-13-14 If you want to get a leg up on Paccar/Diamler & Navistar. Bring the Superliner and Trident over to the States and Canada. If not the States then at least Canada which has similar road configurations and conditions. I know you probably don't like the tail (Mack) wagging the dog (Volvo) but think of the customer and your bottom line. You have two of the best products in the trucking industry (Superliner & Trident) way under utilized.Thank-You for your time. James Neiweem. Fellow Mackers bombard those Volvo thick skulls with similar requests. Go to the Volvo AB website under contact-general and compose at will.
  20. It's to bad the Aussie Macks are right hand drive. They could be imported if they were left hand drive.
  21. "But now linehaul is a significant chapter in our book that we want to start to re-write." Wake up Volvo-Super Liner with MP 10 for the states. Would compete against Paccar for long haul/Lowboy/logging/oilfield/big power dumps.
  22. Finally they have a web site. Sharp loking paint scheme blue with red frames. Seems like they alternately buy 5-10 Cascadias and then 5-10 Pinnacles. Used to be an all Mack fleet R's and CH's. Then they slid in a few Columbias.
  23. Stainless steel shim stock wrapped around pipes etc is an excellent rub protector. Stainless is very tough.
  24. drive shafts can be removed and balanced on a machine by adding or removing small weights. If the imbalance is at your cruising speed this can be mechanically harmful so you want to make sure there is no imbalance at this speed. You may experience some imbalance at a particular rpm as you run up through the gears but this will go away as you move on up the rpm range. You can check the bearing play in the tranny and rear end with dial indicators. Hopefully its not time for transmission bearings and hopefully you are not missing any gear teeth.
  25. An idling engine builds up heat due to no air flow. The fan has to eventually cut in. Good luck with the 460. there are many people on this sight that can give you the ins and outs of just about any Mack engine.
