  1. I don't believe the U Models ever had a plus 3 cab. Need some pictures of the frame on the RL. Is it rusty aluminum etc.
  2. Maybe it was a chevy 6500
  3. Saw a new tri axle GMC dump truck the other day for a paving company. I didn't know they could be speced that heavy. I am wondering what the specs were? What are the heaviest speced Ford or GM trucks?
  4. Why is that, is the compressor to much of a draw?
  5. That Hi HO calander picture was the reason O&G stopped using Macks and went to Paccar.
  6. Never saw a B 70 series as a concrete mixer or is that a B-61 with an external radiator?
  7. Oh by the way I don't think we are helping this guy sell his truck!
  8. They still look like they are going to fall on their face from a side view due to that downward angle on the side skirts. All the European COE's are like this. .The Us COE's had a strait line over the front axle or a curved area over the front wheel. Much nicer in my opinion.
  9. I believe the 865 was a 325 HP Maxi and the 866 was a 375 HP non high torque rise. 864 was the original boat anchor. On the facebook picture where the cab is tilted about 45 degrees You can see the frame rail bends down towards the front axle. I believe the F-600 had straight rails. That truck would make a nice platform for an air stream camper.
  10. Facebook ad says its an 865. I thought the 865 was the 325 maxi. Truck has silver dog and 15 speeds. Maybe an 864? Or maybe I am corn fused.
  11. Vlad you would make a good English teacher to some of these youths here in the US. They have created a whole new English Language.
  12. Is the 7.3 gas job an option on the 650/750?
  13. Volvo bought Mayflower for a reason. Not sure what that reason was. Was it to keep making the Granite/MD/CH cab or present and future Volvo cabs? Not sure who makes the current Volvo cabs. .
  14. Bring back the Louisville Line and give Paccar and the Europeans some competition. We need more American class 8's. Paccar vs Volkswagon, Diamler and Volvo
  15. Agree with you Heinz. The new Anthem/Volvo BBC is taking us back to the days of the 90 in BBC B-67 and White 9000 TD. Their is no over riding reason for this new BBC shortening. There was a reason for short BBC's back in the 60's and 70's (Government length limits). This is just insanity jamming all of this machinery into a short hood when its not necessary. Eventually truck purchasers are going to opt for more room under the hood and in the cab. A point to consider is that Mack does not have the BBC options as does its competition with either the Anthem or Pioneer. Hopefully the new down the road Pinnacle/Granite will address this issue, or expansion of the Anthem Pioneer BBC options. Blah Blah Blah Ramble Ramble!
  16. The Cummins L10 is to replace the Cummins L9 and the X12. Looks like a lot of power from a small pony. So Mack is offering Cummins L7 in the MD, L10 in the Anthem, Cummins Natural Gas in the Cab overs. I wonder if the new Cummins Gas engine will be an option?
  17. Yes the old Anthem looks better but the new Anthem interior is improved IMO. Like the looks of the Mayflower cab. Volvo bought Mayflower are they going to make new cabs at this facility?
  18. Good to hear the combining of the Granite and Pinnacle and more HD options. Would be nice if they would keep the Pinnacle hood as an option for the new Granite/Pinnacle. This is really popular in the Boston area. Is the 10 liter Cummins similar to the Cummins X-12?
  19. I heard the Mack wouldn't put vendor engines in the CH's for Overnite (Detroit series 60) and that's why they went with White, IH and Freightliner from then on. I think they did have some CH's with Econodynes. Similar story at Roadway I hear. Roadway did have quite a few R's with Econodynes but not many CH's except ex ABF's and Penske's. Speaking of Penske(What a but head for selling Detroit to Daimler).
  20. Never new Overnite had Cruiseliners. Did they ever have any MH's?
  21. Heinz- You say there is not an 11 liter (D-11) anymore for the Volvo. This may mean they are dumping the MP-7 altogether. Since Volvos are basicly highway throw away trucks the D-11 may be able to be dropped before the MP-7. There are a lot of MP-7's in Granites and trash trucks that may need support for a longer period.
  22. More Cummins engine options for the MP-7 may mean the X-12. Popular engine in dumps and roll offs. Can only hope for X-15 down the road for pinnacle along with heavy front axle. I am guessing the new regional haul Anthem will only be axle back. Will see June 25th. While many feel Mack is just a hood on a Volvo there are a few legacy items such as, camel backs, rear axles, Granites, MB's and LE's. It doesn't look like Volvo is going to kick Mack out the door any time soon.
  23. T-Mack1-Do you know if they are going to continue making the axle forward Pinnacle(CHU) in the future. Would be nice to see this offering with big Cummins power to be competitive with the other axle forward manufacturers.
