  1. Looks like a nice barkway there also. You have photos of all of the participants. Thanks
  2. Nice catch on the red wing and the painted lady
  3. On second thought this may be a front for the Ford motor company. If Alkane is successful Ford sucks them up and Ford is back in the class 7& 8 market. If they are not sucessful then it doesn't hurt Ford's reputation. Could be a trial ballon.
  4. I mix 50/50 Shell Rotella dino and Shell T-6 synthetic. I read from a Shell petroleum engineer that these are totally compatable. Engine really cranks over fast in the winter.
  5. More power to Alkane! Another American Truck Company. Hopefully they compete positively against the Japaneese and Europeons that have the mid range cab over market locked up. They are using ford engines, transmissions and probably cabs.
  6. I'd just pull covers and find the missing keeper can't believe it didn't drop a valve! Maybee it didn't drop a valve because its a keeper from times past. You've got to pull the covers and inspect though. Good luck
  7. Gee the F model would have never gotten off the ground with that grill.
  8. What happened to bond sand and gravel from unasville ct. Don't see them around anymore. They had green RD's and newer KW's. Havn't seen much of American Industries lately either.
  9. I am thinking that cruiseliner might be in the wrong line of work
  10. Did the 527 influence the Mack MR? I always thought there were similarities. I would say the MR looks more like a Brock 527 than mack MB. I think the MR came out shortly after the Brockway shutsown.
  11. Always good to have A-Car pictures.
  12. Mud flap looks like the bad boys from Gabrielli. I don't think they were around during superliner days. Looks like they can sell and service mudflaps at least. LOL
  13. A company up in granby Ct had a couple of nice MR dumps. Started with a G. Have a few CL's. Now have gone Paccar
  14. I don't see that they are dropping the MR. It is the most popular refuse truck and concrete pumper.
  15. Did some of the Connecticut museum trucks end up in Virginia.
  16. BKrois Was that red and green DM 800 from a company up in Springfield. I think they used to have a pit off of 91. I remember Macks and Autocar mixers. Last time I was by there I didn't notice any activity.
  17. Hope the operator was farther away than the camera man. Thats a heck of a way to burn fuel.
  18. What ever happened to the rumored new mack side loader waste truck. Is that the side loader they are sending to the waste expo. Didn't they have one before. All the sideloaders I see in Ct are Petes, Acars and I believe CCC.
  19. An interesting question might be which Mack construction fleets have gone Paccar. And what fleets stayed Mack or are going back to Mack. Here in Ct Paccar has gained alot of ground. I get the impression that the switch in the midwest has been less severe. I guess the west is Paccar dominant.
  20. And we probably export our natural resources for free since we owe so much money to China for debt. I would not doubt that China owns great portions of our natural resources and the politicians don't inform us of such.
