  1. When I was in college, on the east coast, in the late 80's I remember it was 65 degrees one Christmas Eve
  2. I was looking at a pair of Mack's in a wrecking yard a couple of years ago and they emailed me the build sheet, unfortunately the yard decided that they were worth more in parts than a complete truck.
  3. Most people here have a tire shop that will do them. Without a location we can not help the op. Sorry
  4. Try asking for parts for a FT-900 or any military vehicle. I do hate when they ask me all the information on the vehicle for a generic part.
  5. My truck has the Hendrickson four spring e4 suspension. I looked but have not come up with an air ride suspension that will bolt on. This is important because the portion of the frame that is not used by this suspension is covered by a 3/4" steel plates.
  6. That is the new emergency bridge reinforcement
  7. My wife has not been in my shop in years, actually she does not go out in my storage yard
  8. After seeing some of these steering wheel holders in action you will understand. A lot of trucks do have lockers in them.
  9. On top of this the MT654 is considered an obsolete transmission by allison. I wonder how they would work with a MT643 in there?
  10. Who says it has to fit under the stock hood? It is for a mid engine cab over
  11. This is my truck The good part is the interior is complete and it has the spare cab. The bad part is the rear of the frame was modified I am also missing the fuel tank and mounts. The extra cab does have the fuel tank in it under the seat but the military truck is supposed to have the fuel tank inside the frame behind the cab.
  12. I am looking for a WWII Chevy 1 1/2 ton parts truck in or close to Southern California. Does anyone have one or have any leads. Thanks
  13. Shows can be quite expensive. The fees the promoter charge for the booths can be quite substantial. Then there is the cost of the exhibit that can range from minimal, simple display with vehicles pulled from inventory, to exotic, custom vehicles and an extensive display. Then there is the cost to staff the booth.
  14. Worst roads New Jersey or Los Angeles. New Jersey wins on old and poor design. It is a tie for lack of maintenance.
  15. Same as here in Southern California, with this heat they are dressing that way even when they are not at the beach.
  16. What I think is funny is you see trucks doing a regen on the side of the road spewing so much smoke it looks like they are on fire. The old particles were large enough that that human body could not absorb them. The particles that are discharged during regen are small enough the human body can absorb them.
  17. I received a package today that was scheduled to be here on Wednesday. It was shipped buy UPS and delivered by USPS. Yes shipped by brown and delivered by white.
  18. It is a steal at 28k but it needs AC
  19. Here is some information on it, and it is on the national historic register http://www.nps.gov/nr/publications/sample_nominations/MarionSteamShovel.pdf
  20. I do like seeing the dogs leading the way Lisa started out as a inexperienced kid, they probably recruited her as eye candy, but she has ended up being a good driver and she is still eye candy. Alex is just an old school driver doing his job Todd Dewey is a drama queen Darrel Ward has a big ego Art is the court jester, there is at least one on each "reality show" A lot of this fits the typical reality show model that they seem to use.
  21. We do not need the Middle East oil! Contrary to what the liberal tree huggers want us to believe we are but running out of oil. I do believe that we should use all of our natural resources as efficiently as possible. But I also believe that we need to work with Mother Nature. I do get sick and tired of the bullshit that is spewed by all of the liberal tree huggers. The is more known oil reserves under North America than there is in the Middle East. What we need to do is tell the tree hugging liberals that our priority is making this country great. We need to return to a position of power, and not be a pawn. To do this we need the capability to be self sufficient. We need to explore these reserves and bring them to production. We also need to build new and better refineries. Once we commit to this our dependence on the Middle East will be broken and they will have to beg us to by there oil.
