  1. That looks like a ready made Condo for him
  2. I have found that dogs are better mousers than cats. I had a Dalmatian that started with possums then destroyed the mouse and rat population and in boredom started hunting birds and stray cats. The advantage of having several dogs is they can hunt in a pack and take down nastier animals that will not leave of there own accord.
  3. A vacation is a way for the wife to spend to much money in a short period of time so you can not spend it on something important like the truck or buying more toys
  4. I stopped by the Utility Trailer Company corporate office yesterday. I was rather disappointed at there lack of interest. No one took the time to look at the pictures. What is really ironic is that utility is celebrating there 100th anniversary this year and according to the internet they have created a book and video of there history but the staff did not mention this.
  5. They need to fix there online forum. I have tried to sign up several times and they never send me the email conformation. I finally just gave up.
  6. I stopped by a couple of the local trailer repair places and they mentioned it could be an early utility trailer. Since there corporate office is only a few miles away I think I will stop by and see if it is a utility.
  7. How are you guy taking pictures while you are driving?
  8. Here is mine. Simply on one of the tanks. I use this one on trucks that are not equipped.
  9. Yes it is an odd floor. What is Gindy? The metal strips are actually the top of hat channels. They do not hold down the planks. They appear the support the edges of the planks. The planks appear to be screwed down through the hat channel to the trailer crossmember.
  10. Where whey they made? When was the company in operation? Did it get bought up?
  11. If you look carefully in this picture you can see the bolt that is holding the brake lining to the backing. This trailer may be a lot older. I wonder if the 46 in the axle serial number is actually the year?
  12. My mechanic looked at the photos and thinks the trailer might be a WEBB from the mid 60's.
  13. Thanks for the reply Any thoughts on the vintage or year?
  14. The location of the missing data plate The landing gear is marked Holland Hitch That is an old cast handle
  15. The axle tag reads Standard forge & axle CO Inc. Montgomery Alabama Model A19S C60 LHDA Serial number 5W 46 242 This tag appears to have been trademarked in 1970 and expired in 1993 The Air Can is marked Berg MFG CO Chicago 1783 Y The Spider is marked Hutch Line
  16. I just picked up a 30 foot single axle flatbed trailer. The manufacturers data tag is missing. Is this information stamped anyplace else on the trailer? The trailer looks to be an older trailer. It has 9-20 tires on spoked wheels. The trailer has s cam spring brakes but the spring brake chambers are unlike any that I have seen before. They look like a cylinder and have a built in caging bolt.
  17. My truck will not build temperature idling in the yard! I start it, do the pretrip and let the air build. If I am in a hurry I will run it up to about 1000 rpm. On the road I baby it until it is up to temperature. After that it is hammer down.
