  1. I hate to say it but I think that was my daughter ! the wife was driving a 88 superliner belly dumping while she was pregnant, she claimed it was the only time the kid wasn't boxing her bladder LOL.
  2. the detroits could hook the tack drive about anywhere look on the rear of the engine about centerline of the eng. above the bell housing. or on the front or off the blower possibly. as for the temp gauge napa sells a long sender mechanical gauge, look around where the upper rad. hoses connect to the eng. that should be in the area of the thermostat housings and then you should be able to find a port to use. for the temp sender (remember to double check that the probe has enough room to not be damaged.)as for the fuel gauge touch the insulated wire to the ground wire at the fuel tank sender if gauge goes to full replace the sender, if not check gauge the same way if it checks out look for damaged harness.
  3. Mike if you apply a little brake you still hit them, just wont knock the shit out of em.!!!!!! got lucky last year the superliner sent one to dear heaven,...but I hit it square on and sent it flying...I think the extended bumper helped me not receive any damage. sorry about the truck, that sucks!
  4. have you checked the graveyard? I think most of his voters reside there!
  5. I thought I had gave up on hunting?..........maybe I just need to try hunting in a different spot!.....would like to bag that DEAR....oops I mean deer.
  6. looks good and none of them god awful spoke wheels!!!!! lol. supers look great on budds!!
  7. holly hell!!!! build one and have it chromed!
  8. Vlad, we used pai gear sets in dump and belly dump trucks and the wonderful steering wheel holders that drove them didn't tear'em up any faster than the genuine mack parts. I wouldn't have any reservations about using their products.
  9. mosquitos.....humming birds....I've been in some swamps where I could understand the confusion, other than I have never seen a cloud of humming birds!......lol I think in the interest of the health of our members....(from choking to death on there own vomit) please omit any pictures, most of us are still suffering from various ailments because of Yardos half nekkid posts!!!
  10. I guess horse power leaves a mark! don't know how a Detroit enters into that equation thou.....lol
  11. j martell: Here,s my .02 worth In my younger days I thought like you, about being in the truck and putting the education to work, then I realized most employers treat drivers like crap. so I started to notice the guys that always worked are the ones that could and would do what ever needs done! then after rethinking what I would do I couldn't hardly get a day off any time!
  12. I knew there was a reason I liked this season!!!!!!!
  13. my e-9 did something similar last winter, it turned out to be a low spot in the air line that would freeze with condensate and overload the compressor that resulted in excessive gear noise. to check simply loosen the discharge line from the compressor and see if noise is reduced or vanishes.
  14. no white stuff out here yet. just cool temps 19f here now ,only been above freezing a couple of days in the last 7
  15. damn that's a little pricey head to the local craft store and buy a 4x8 sheet of foam rubber for 5 bucks and get out a magic marker and a pair of scissors and make your own.
  16. I hope that type of logic will bring a jury to reverse all legal fees and expenses back to the gal so she is even more miserable!
  17. if you get dealer filters they still come with them
  18. great to see working trucks that are that well cared for!
  19. sounds good !! I hope you don't have any allergies !
  20. if you hook it up to shop air will it go higher? it sounds like a unloader issue, but I would hook up to shop air to double check for possible problems
  21. those are indeed a couple of rare birds, cant say I have ever seen either one before.
  22. HEY YARDO I found you a mosquito fogger!
  23. the hole is there to let the coolant out if the seal fails! if the hole is plugged that allows coolant into the area where the roller bearings are and coolant will displace the grease and thus result in a major failure .this is typically what happens when the fan goes into the radiator. most newer engines no longer have the water pump and fan on the same shaft.
  24. I have a complete b model dash to help get you started. it looks like your ready for dissemble and media blast. sorry to joke about that, but after a man gets done crying all you can do is go on!
  25. maybe it was a fright warmer truck not a fright liner!
