  1. If you look in the WIKI section at the top of this site you should find one there. on page 6 in the antique and classic truck section you will find several diagrams.
  2. thanks for the input guys! the CL I took the eng out of had the shutters so I thought air flow was a problem, I put in a new thermostat and gauge with the eng swap, as well as a rebuilt radiator but I had problems keeping the eng temp up. I had problems with the old eng as well running too cool. but I don't remember other e-9 eng. doing this now that I think of it and I don't remember shutters on them. so I will order the pai and try thanks Rob
  3. Tom you get them all mixed together and you could cauterize hemorrhoids with that stuff!
  4. cant keep the eng warm enough one ambient air is cooler than 65 degrees I ,m sure I will cause head gasket and head problems cause the eng will go from 130 to 208 in just a few miles and yes the thermo stat is working. So I need to find some good shutters to block some air flow to keep the temp up.
  5. or go the other way find a rotted out superliner and then put a C cab on it call jones and get a custom hood.
  6. seems every time a election comes around fuel prices drop! watch and see if they start to climb again about a week from tomorrow .
  7. In September when the superliner was running 500 miles round trip a day fuel was 3.99 - 4.29 ....... yep I guess Murphy still has my number!
  8. Thanks for the explanation I had overlooked the offset until I studied the photo, nice job of putting a little history back together!
  9. that's gotta be close to what it sold for new!
  10. I haven't priced red wings for years , I started buying Nicks boots hand made in Spokane Wa. a new pair of standard Loggers with 10 in. uppers are $360. and re builds are $220 I think. had two pairs rebuilt and bought one new pair cause I would of been barefoot waiting for the rebuilds 8 -10 weeks to done, but very good boots!
  11. I bet that phone call will fall into the WTF department! now I just gotta get to 69 mack mans place and use his home phone and raise some hell
  12. Green dash: I need a @#$$%^&&$# P.O. box and zip code I can wing the rest of it!
  13. Damn $2 gas! would love to see that here! I think 3.40 is what I last paid for off road diesel.
  14. Yarnall : I've noticed more and more stuff is now made from UNOBTAINUM, seems most new equipment manufactures have switched to this alloy!
  15. welcome to the dog house ! nice dog!
  16. Thanks Ken when I worked a the IH dealership I remember putting on narrower tires and flipping the rear tires side to side for max offset, but was able to do with a standard row crop tractor . been too long since I looked at a G model is the rear bar axle longer? I see what appears to be axle extenders in the front.
  17. so whats the difference between a row crop and sugar beet special? can't say that I had ever heard of one before now!
  18. NO that's a hammer made in a union shop hauled by union labor, made from renewable resources smelted with solar and wind power ,packaged in eco friendly recycled containers that leave a zero carbon foot print ,engineered to be used by a person with ultra low green house gas emissions, and only strikes recycled "green" nails!!!!!!!!!!!! Its the first in a line of government approved hand tools !!!!! green house gas emission monitor sold separately!!!
  19. ECD you otta keep Steve at your shop and I bet you don't get stuff stolen any more!
  20. the other thing I think would help is the reduction of angles and larger radius elbows ,any thing that accelerates air flow will improve power. by looking at your photo it looks as if your exh. goes under frame. Do some checking to see if you can run 4.5 or 5 in. pipe above frame (you might have to add a heat shield under the cab) a lot of e-9 powered trucks did this. if you do this then use 45 degree fittings or 22 1/2 off the turbo to improve air flow.
  21. welcome to the kennel ! lots of vets on hand to diagnose any ailment that a dog may have. That F should be a nice project. enjoy!
  22. Maddog : I hear ya on the O bummer thing , is that for those who don't want to see November ?
