  1. found a few more! this rd hangs out at the dip tank at the apple warehouse I use. stacks of apple bins waiting to hold this years record apple crop. with a record crop no use in putting less than perfect apples in the bin we just threw the rest on the ground! this custom 4x4 corvette hangs out in north Wenatchee, seen it for years. here's one of many dams on the Columbia river Chief Joseph it's the next dam below Grand Coulee Dam. and above Azwell dam on the Columbia river. this bridge is just down river from the dam and in the small town of Bridgeport Wa.

  4. if it is camelback it's a variation that I've never seen before. its missing at least 3 springs to be a standard camel back
  5. sumtin's fishy ......add says rw713 ........fuse cover says rw600....so is it a highway queen or a tough truck?
  6. lets see trash truck.......... trash creates methane gas, trash truck runs on a extension cord? why wouldn't you compress methane gas into cylinders and power the truck with that???..........oh that's right there's no way to tax it!! glad to know we are putting the planet first
  7. nope never cooked a wild turkey...............been half cooked on wild turkey if that counts!
  8. Enjoy your trip ! if Vancouver wasn't on the wrong side of the state I might drop by and say hello. if its Vancouver B.C. its still on the wrong side of the province . maybe B.C. Mack will drop by and kill some time with ya between flights. anyways be safe and post lots of pics. hope Max is doing good!
  9. Paul: I will agree that fried turkey is better than 2 outta 3 of the above mentioned items but I cant make up my mind as to which one is better!
  10. hope everyone is safe and happy......even if you have to deal with family!!!
  11. nice.......I don't think I can afford to upgrade the ole superliner thou.
  12. SEE....... lol
  13. all I can say is study your axle bridge laws, a few inches can make a world of difference on what you can haul in some states.
  14. Scott take a tape measure and wrap it around the worn tire and again on the new how much difference do you have? After you told us this I think it could be the power divider trying to engage, because the front and rear drive shafts are moving at different speeds. I had a old superliner do this to me while on the freeway it would take some time, then the truck would start to quiver and the drive train would get very noisy I could depress the clutch for a few seconds and it would go away then it would rebuild and repeat.
  15. I cant say for sure but it sounds like a failed rear, does it also do it under a hard deacceleration? or only under a input load? if you engage the power divider and then accelerate. does this sound change?
  16. if they would just drop a 0 in that price I would consider it LOL.
  17. if you don't want the expense of moving the axle and lengthening of drive shaft and related stuff you could add a spring carry air drop drop axle, this would give you about 4 more feet of frame and they are not that expensive used. 3-400 bucks a chunk of frame with a cross member and away you go!
  18. in 1977 i used the money i got from selling a sheep at the county fair to by a midland 23 channel 13882c i think was the # finally trashed it in 1998. the whole damn valley had them them during the late 70s and early 80s our neighbor even had one on his orchard tractor. us kids all had walkie talkies and our moms keep tract of where we were on the farm that way.
  19. does that e-7 have external injection lines? ( sorry its been to long for me looking at the different eng. configurations) if so when you fire it up simply loosen each line one by one( one at a time) and listen for the knock to go away or diminish. a few years ago i got a rebuilt injection pump and installed it on a machine i had not taken apart and had a knock. i could loosen a line and all was well tighten it back up and knock knock knock so i swapped injectors and the problem stayed in the same hole so i pulled the eng. expecting a failed brg. but all good, magna fluxed all components thinking some thing was cracked. but no, had all things checked for balance and were good. reassembled and ran damn knock was back......@#$%!&$# any how went back to the fuel system and removed one injector at a time and caught the fuel spray in a c.c. marked tube and found one cyl. was over fueling, called the rebuilder and found out he never screws up, after a 30 min. call and a threat to drive to yakama and re arrange his pump stand, he agreed to re check his work! 2 days later i got a very apologetic phone call that one barrel had slipped and was indeed over fueling. sorry about the long story but a injector can cause a knock ! some times its the injector some times its the pump.
  20. i need to check the neighbors bone yard i think there is a 702 in there out of a old tonasket fire dept. truck there. when i was on tonaskets dept. we raced it against a sea grave w/ 8v71 and 5 something rear gears would do 53 mph with 750 gal. of water up a 6% grade and the ole 702 in that gmc would eat it alive once it warmed up ! that gmc was a coe with a rear half cab. unique ole truck. it finally got parted out about 5 years ago.
  21. joe glad you found it! i have found a secondary air source too be a great tool in diagnosing air system problems. eng. noise moving parts etc. can make it a bear sometimes.
  22. got mine at age 11 or 12 " diesel duster " but don't remember the story behind it now, later after studying heavy equipment repair, and working in the trade it went to "diesel doctor" and any more it's HEY RED MACK!
