  1. yep 5 sp. and I need to play with the relief valve I can only get about 70 psi out of her, I hope to get it back into useable shape this winter.
  2. It was kinda cool to see the engraved horn button with their name in it. the right rear corner of the tail board has been a little munched but other than that, she's cherry even has great rubber too!
  3. found this girl hiding on the other side of the valley from me! it was built for a small fire dept. 40 miles south of me and was surplused a few years ago to the guy I got it from. It has 856 hours on it and 19560 miles, drove it home tonight and it sure ran out nice.
  4. 89 RW 713 E-9 500 12 SPD Waiting for a load of apples
  5. well not a grain hauler per say but an apple and hay hauler
  6. well that should bring back the spotted owl!.......it wasn't old growth timber they need, .....the damn Detroit's are just too noisy!!!!
  7. well using the same math, all I can say is you wont have a proper BIG MACK!
  8. you could try hot tanking them and see if the hot bath will free them.
  9. maybe just under scrap price....lol its going to take a while to dig it out!
  10. also check for air in the exhaust line when in reverse, I finally fixed mine, if below 40 degrees I had either no or occasional reverse but mine was bypassing in the shifter handle. I had put 2 rebuild kits in it over the last 4 years but still no cold weather operation. well 385 bucks later it now shifts like a new trans again. when I selected reverse, I would have air escaping thru the exhaust port on the shifter I could some times block the exhaust and make it shift.
  11. Ol'e #7.............for 7 hands high and the reference to Jack Daniel's Tennessee whisky
  12. has just the steer axle been converted to 8 lug hub pilot, or the drivers too?
  13. sounds like a good upgrade, and if you really hate the electronic cat you can put a b model pump on that e engine and then have what you want. as for the wheel base if your mack is a typical mack the longer wheel base pete will fit into the same places. I don't know why the macks just will not turn very sharp, its like they have a shorter pitman arm then most other trucks
  14. that being a dump truck if you load the front of the box heavy you should get 12000 on it if you load over the drivers it can be as much as 1500 less. That's if I remember my dump trucking days right, my flatbed with the e9 I get about 12900 on it when loaded
  15. also have you checked the slip yokes? you may have a splined yoke about to fail. have you went for a test drive with a mechanic? I would hook to a flat bed and have them lay on it and then see if they can see or hear any strange stuff, as mentioned before running the truck while on blocks can also help to trouble shoot the failed area.
  16. timm are these hubs stud or hub piloted? if stud piloted you could add a spacer easy enough ( use the center out of a brake drum) if stud piloted you could do the same if the support perches are long enough. or take an old aluminum wheel canter and turn it down to the thickness that you need for a spacer, just make sure it is true! you don't want issues on the steer axle.
  17. I think it was Paul and his AC ox!
  18. ok that middle picture should have broke some thing!!!! hooooly hell that's what I would call LOADED!
  19. when you replaced the dash switch did you see a one or two wire pressure switch teed into the "work" line side of the switch? it sounds as if you have a faulty pressure sw.
  20. do you have plugged fuel tank vents?
  21. The Oregon Sherriff does not want to make this guy famous, and I agree with that, too many of these nut jobs want to be seen as famous and remembered as household names for years. I think we should just call them by the "incident name" as the "shooter" or the "bomber", maybe that would be enough reasons for some of these guys to rethink their plans of dying FAMOUS. Don't get me wrong here I'm not trying to make this sound as if I am protecting or numbing this act down, that's not my intentions I just want him to go to the grave as a faceless, gutless puke. We can still post all the details about his plot or theologies and find out why they did what they did, just don't give the bastards no credit.
  22. Brocky glad to hear you are ok, if you can get that storm headed west we could sure use some rain! just not the amounts you guys got! Our last rain of over a 1/2 inch was in june, our irrigation reservoirs look like dried out mud puddles with a small wet patch in the middle.
  23. not sure on the newer ones, try inserting the key and turn to the acc. position and then give the key an out ward tug, the cylinder should pop out, if its the same as the old ones.
  24. on the DM what was the elect. motor next to the inj. pump? a pre oiler maybe?
  25. the pissed off employee vids. behind this are a sad watch! I want to operate one of those new D series just to see for my self how smooth it is!
