  3. Snow dog, are you trying to blackball yourself from this site?.....just kidding ....just don't let the rest of the boys know .....ok!
  4. would vote for a 5.9 for president before Hillary, even if the truck does say Clinton! too much emissions with Hillary!.............lol
  5. Rowdy your truck looks like it should be parked next Yardos Haun, then you could compare oil loss! At least it poked a hole in the pan and not in the block! as for the freight shaker, well we have all drove them and that's what makes us grateful for what we own! hang in there, you will be staring at a dogs ass in a little while.

  9. My son came out today and we got another area prepped with insulation and rebar tied, will do some more in the am. Will start a 5x60 then along the west wall this area will be where my work benches will be so I don't care if I have a seam there, then I will do a 16x60 along side of that which will line up with the door on the north end, that way when on a creeper I wont hit any seams. the east side we did today is 14x40 and that will be under the loft for the most part, I left out the office pad and the bathroom/mechanical room for now as I don't want to try to finish to floor drains with that much other flat work to do. my reason for not going wider is the power screeds I'm using are a 10 ft. and a 16 ft. if I had a 20+ ft. one would be ideal but cant find one locally.
  10. in the month of November I drain the bottoms of my fuel tanks on all equipment that has a drain, then use "heat" to treat all other tanks to remove any water, Yellow bottle for gas ,Red bottle for diesel, after doing that I use the white power service and also add 30% stove oil to my bulk tank. then I only have to worry about which neighbor is going to call to have me get their gelled up crap running
  11. yes that is the one ! should bolt to the bottom of the steamer port. I think its a 6" valve ( going by eye sight ) I will try to post a pic of mine tomorrow
  12. had not heard of the KFC, but knowing what trash roams our streets I didn't have to let my mind travel to far to come up with that answer.
  13. Hey if the one that's being parted out has a worm drive butterfly valve on the suction I could use the cast iron bracket that holds the worm! please message or call Rob (509) 846-6312
  14. Paul I was going to mention military members but depending on when they enlisted they got collage tuition covered, but you are absolutely right about the wage issue, and depending on which fast food outlet they work at the chances of being shot could be a toss up !
  15. fulfuel, the same goes here but conveniently this year the obummer administration saw fit to interrupt the flow of workers and created a severe shortage of farm labor this late summer causing crops to be left unharvested, our needed labor force was about 3 weeks behind schedule.
  16. tts, the jobs you just mentioned are mostly done by legal Americans, I can find all sorts of Americans who want to sit their ass in a truck or tractor for 12-17 bucks an hour but do you think I can find labors who will work for 20 bucks an hour (or any price for that matter) hell no! the valley I live in needs thousands of seasonal workers in order to harvest fruit in a timely manor, the economic loss that short labor causes is a very noticeable thing in our local economy. Also their is no insurance coverage for absent labor force.
  17. as Yarnall said we need our workers for ag. but I think a seasonal work permit would fix that problem, most of the workers I see want to work, and then go home, not stay here!
  18. well when crooks, thugs, and professional athletes make more money than the Obama administration can spend in a day, I can see where a student would think that 15.00 an hour is still an insult. but perhaps they should trade places with a wild lands fire fighter who gets about 13.00 an hour to risk their life and swing a Pulaski in 100 degree plus heat and then see who has earned the right for a discounted tuition! as for the overpaid athletes well I think we should boycott all events until they are bankrupt.
  19. it sounds like the timing is stuck or the air flow is restricted
  20. now I need to do a 40x60 and the inside slab will be done.
  21. the system needs fixing that's for sure! but a "free education" is not worth any thing when I went to trade school I paid for 75% and grants paid the other 25%. I never missed a day of school because I was paying for it! and about the same story when I attended community collage. Now my son who never had an unexcused absence in 12 years of school and graduated top of his class got a gates grant which paid for 4 years of university education, the kid damn near flunked out of school his second year and I had to threaten him with his life to get him back in line and this cost him a extra year of 30,000 to get his degree but you know what? when you pay for some thing you tend to want to get what you pay for. and he finally did and graduated with honors.
  22. another up date, last wed. I got 32 yards of mud placed a 20x40 interior slab with drain and a 20x18 apron on the west side and a 26x18 apron on the east side (pictured)
  23. Ok just an up date, with thanks to Sam and Randy and Waterous pumps I got the ol'e girl pumping as it should, 300+ psi at about 1300 rpm. the relief piston was stuck in its bore. It looks like she will see active duty again as it will be a nice up grade for our small volunteer dept. I still have a few more repairs to do, the volume / pressure spool is stuck in the pressure position, and the front suction butterfly valve is in need of a good cleaning to free it up, and a full service of the power train.
  24. I missed him as well, he was at the district fair about 80 miles from me, didn't know he was there till about a week later. I would have been happy to been propped up against the juke box for the evening!
  25. a bad ground can also cause this problem
