  1. well I heard Lloyd is doing fine after his surgery to fix his face, but the story gets funnier yet! since Lloyd was laid up some friends of mine decided to help him out, by moving his cows home from summer pasture. Well it seems that one angus cow didn't take kindly to Keith calling her a "black bitch" and se took him, well now Keith has a bum knee, black eye, and a broken nose!......probably a good thing Lloyd didn't go move cows or he would have been back in surgery again!
  2. just right specs for a dump truck, I would even set up to quick change to 5th wheel.
  3. do you know if the new switch is a good one? is it a normally open or normally closed switch or could it have been a low air pressure sw.
  4. I will have to tell Roger ( the trucks owner ) to get the dash cams up and running, as for Lloyd I will suggest with odd's like that to by lotto tickets, versus hoping to catch another flying deer.
  5. Paul you cant plant them DEAD ONES they wont grow !......lol But its a BAAAAAAAAAAAAAD IDEA TO PLANT LIVE ONES IF YOU HAVE NEIGHBORS!
  6. I hear that, I will fix more fence in the next 3 days than I do the rest of the year, or so it seems!
  7. on Wednesday at about 11 am a deer that was struck by a north bound car went airborne and few into the cab of this w900l the mess you see on the deck plate came from the ass end of the deer, it went through the rear cab window and came to a stop when it hit the cap guard. the deers head was laying by the shifter, the driver is having his jaw set in the morning as well as having his eye socket reconstructed. The dying reflexes of the deer kicked the shit out of Lloyd (the driver) he lost control of the truck and dumped the truck on its right side spilling his load of 30 tons of 4-6 quarry smalls.
  8. doggone it my alarm clock is malfunctioning (no roosters) just weaned calves and they wont shut up for at least two more days sure glad I live right next to my work!
  9. things that make a guy go HUUMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!
  10. I used some stuff like that as well before called belzona used it to repair lower counter bores on an old 1693 cat in a 631b scraper that was over 15 years ago and it is still holding also repaired a electrolysis spot on a 3408 block that was leaking coolant onto the cam shaft as far as I know that d8l is still running as well.
  11. Check with "coastlogger" on here, he was trying to sell his business and had 4 r models, he is in western B.C.
  12. Mike I found you a 335 in good shape, but you have to come west to get it! oh and it's in another freightshaker but a cab over this time.
  13. I wish I had a LTL to park next to my superliner! I think that's the best looking truck to roll off the Mack line.
  14. its all bull shit! sorry guys but we had more dependable equipment in the late 80's and 90's than we have now! sure you dont see smoke come out of a exhaust pipe but we don't see any real improvement in m.p.g. verses the added expense of all the mandated b.s. not to mention the other effects of Clean exhaust like a 1000 degree temp, makes you want to head for a wheat field with that now don't it!
  15. wish you were closer! those Alcoa's would look great on the ol'e red dog. sounds like Alcoa's will soon be a thing of the past and we will be running chincoas
  16. i'm missing something here, the m925 has a air switch on the dash to engage the front end. or so it's labeled at least, I haven't chased out the air lines to confirm.
  17. now does any one know of transfer cases failing if the front axle was not "engaged" but transfer case in low range, and used in reverse?
  18. full or empty?
  19. what is it that kills the transfer case in low rev.? the m 925 that I use as a brush truck has that warning tag on the dash, but I haven't been able to picture in my mind what would damage the case.
  20. I just thought that age group was the last one that knew how to work, and after seeing whats coming up behind us, the suicide rate and drug use make sense
  21. you should be able to attach a loop to the pump lever and then fasten a rod on a swivel hooked to the rear of the cab or such that will lock the pump lever into the road position to keep the entanglement from knocking it into pump mode.
  22. ok guys here's the other side will have to take more later
  23. take a drive to the plant I guess, and find out. If they are attempting to "clean" the old plates I would shy away from a reman. if they are reusing the case to save some money on manufacturing I would say go for it! WOULD THE 4D'S BE FOR STARTING A DETROIT IN THE WINTER?????????
  24. thanks yardo will give it a try!
  25. Randy, how are they remaning them? are they attempting to de sulfate the plates or are they simply reusing the case?
