  10. A Robin is a smaller wild bird here in North America. Often the first ones out in the Spring season. Their eggs have an unusual light blue color and thus many paints near that color are called Robin's egg blue.
  11. Attached is a link to an ongoing (up to 25 pages now) topic on Just Old Trucks.com covering Australian truck history.. A little bit of everything, BUT a lot of MACK pictures.. Poster Grenfell34 is a retired Cummins mechanic that lives west of Sydney a ways. Poster Hayseed is Australian Poster Hamish, I believe is a New Zealender. All of them are well versed in Down Under trucks. http://forums.justoldtrucks.com/146903/how-it-was Enjoy
  12. I agree with Mike.. And having met you at Macungie, I know he is right!!! But that is all part of the FUN in this antique truck hobby.. If you took any more scenic countryside pictures of your trip, please post them as a lot of us enjoy learning about other countries.. Thanks Brocky
  13. The center is tucked away in behind a small airport. If I remember correctly, it is the first red light you can make a left at, about a mile from the I-78 exit, then your first right to the end, turn left, again to the end and left again under an overpass..
  14. I see that picture was at Worcester Sand and Gravel.. I seem to remember seeing it in person somewhere?? Springfield Mass in 2012??? Or Macungie??
  15. Had a similar thing happen at the then new Peterbilt dealer in Stroudsburg PA. Local farmer / owner operator, Jay Kresge, walked in wearing bib overalls and bargained them down to the bare minimum on a new tractor where they had figured in their profit from the financing fees. When they pulled out the finance papers, he pulled his checkbook out of the front of his bibs.. When the dealer started to object he just said "Call Chase Manhattan in New York"!!! He was a great grand nephew of S.S. Kresge who started Kresge Five and Dime which evolved into K-Mart..
  16. In South Carolina you can get a Class A CDL "Interstate Excepted", endorsement P-1, which covers you in your own equipment and load with NO physical or drug test. Non Commercial!! Absolutely NO compensation to you or the vehicle.. Ribbons and trophys do not count BUT your breakfast or a case of beer do!!!
  17. Hobart Before you do anything serious to take it apart, contact user "dieselsteveo" over on the Just Old Trucks .com website.. Peter J's forum... He is part of the Cummins 100th anniversary team and would likely know of someone who would want the complete unit??
  18. Check with Mike Harbison in southeast Iowa
  19. Jim, Yes Dan had a nice display.. Too bad he was parked more in the transport parking lot than the main show lot, BUT maybe it was his choice? Also Stormy did a great job. Bigger pictures and a new page to start each make..
  20. I believe that 53 Ford F-350 is the first year that the 350 model was introduced??? Which would make it even more unique.. I WANT!!!!
  21. Can you imagine all the 4 wheelers a long tongued California pup would collect on Long Island when they tried to cut between the truck and the trailer????
  22. Or if from the south a AAA Cooper freight from Dothan AL???
  23. This one belongs to one of our chapter members who is standing beside it..
