  1. Swishy We had several companies in the States running similar (mostly Freightliner) equipment hauling auto parts. There was a fairly long topic on these on one of the forums about 2-3 years ago under the Heading of: Stoops Freightliners.
  2. Attached is a link about a DM(??) free in Alaska.. Sounds like a Vlad retrieval from last summer. http://forums.justoldtrucks.com/101192/guard-your-Macks If anyone interested cannot send Tomer a PM let me know and I will try
  3. Did UPS have any 6X6's??? I can see a petroleum outfit or a fire department having one..
  4. I just received my October 2016 Hemmings Classic Car magazine today and there is a short article in the back about the Super Pumpers.. No idea as to how correct it is??
  5. Billy Did you notice the "wrecker" that the golf cart rental outfit had to retrieve the broke down carts at both Springfield MO and York PA.. It was a cute little thing on a golf cart chassis.
  6. Bob When you schedule the Mack Museum also put the America On Wheels on the schedule.. It is not much further into town and a lot more Macks as well as other stuff..
  7. That is a 3X3 block.. The ones I saw in Iowa were a 3 Wide by 5 long block. After he put them in the lock they split off the first 3X3 block then he backed out and then lowered them, winched them out, then brought the tug and 3X2 block in, lowered them, then tied it all back together while the tug was still in the lock. And did the same with an upriver bound set at the same time.. Quite an interesting process to watch!!!
  8. Thanks for the big boat pictures.. Have you ever seen them going thru the locks??? Those boys can do some serious driving!! Those 3 wide barges fit in with only inches to clear on either side.. And they have to be square before they start in.. Guttenburg Iowa has bleacher in the city park where you can sit and watch them. I spent a couple of hours there while the wife checked out the "JUNK" stores!!!
  9. Jim Thanks!! That is what I thought , But was not sure.. Guess I need a tape recorder attached to my camera so I can remember what all the pictures are??
  10. Here is the Ralph Smith H model in Tony Champions collection Down Under.. Ron will have to tell us if it is the red or blue one. I cannot remember??
  11. Damn!! THat Brisket looks great!!! I am on my way to Gladys...
  12. I've been to Floyd a few times!!
  13. Love your big city!!! Even larger than the one I live in!!! Thanks for the pictures.. You are enjoying your vacation. Always like to take the back roads..
  14. Paul and Tim Build a bigger garage!!!! Actually have so much "stuff" in the garage mine does not fit.. Have gone from Single, to club, to full crew cab over the past 20 years.. So much more comfortable when you take friends to shows and haul the grocerys home!!
  15. OD Thanks for the pictures.. Have seen the signs for those dams and lakes. Southwestern VA is very pretty countryside.

Larry Our liberal press will not cover the RNC as they do not view conservativaties as needing support, BUT I bet the news media will have Billiarys face in the news all this week from the DNC.. Just like before with Obumma..
  17. Wife and I stopped there 3 years ago on our way to Yakima Wash. A revisit is in the plans for next year's ATHS National show in Des Moines..
  18. Here is a Buffalo Springfield on display at the Erv Bickford Collection pavillion in the heart of downtown Yarmouth Maine. The rest of my pictures can be found here: http://forums.justoldtrucks.com/99086/The-Erv-Bickford-Collection
  19. Tom is active in the ATCA Vintage Trucks of Florida chapter.. He had several trucks at their show in Leesburg FL last Feb. You can probably contact them thru the chapters website: http://www.vintagetrucksfl.org/home.aspx
  20. Billy T Yes that is me.. Your prewar 39 would have had the "deluxe" cab which included a clock, cigar lighter, and a banajo horn ring.. DT did not return to building them after the war, so all post war ones are plain dash.
  21. Looks good!!! Also looks like you have had enough water for your crops.. Everything here in the southeast is drying up bad.. we are about 5 inches behind in yearly rainfall..
  22. Mike Thanks for the pictures.. That show is on my bucket list.
  23. OD Thanks for the pictures,, especially the girls in cars!!!! Too bad the did not have good cell phone cameras 30 years ago.. Looks like two different loads of carports??? Running with another truck??
  24. And thinking of Other Dog. The driver said this tractor was heavier than most as he also pulls a roller bed trailer moving oil field equipment.
