  1. Both the 504 and 555 I believe were rated at 240HP @ 3300RPM naturally asperated. Would the 265HP engine that you guys are refering to be a Turbo version of the triple nickel?? I have heard that they were not that reliable in trucks but were in the marine version. Am plannning on keeping my Brockway a 555, but just going to shows it should(???) hold up OK. Brocky
  2. My 358 Brockway has a 504 in it and I have a 555 engine in the shed.. According to the Cummins repair manual the only difference is in the crank, which adds a half inch in the stroke, and the pump. Cummins also made a V-6 of this engine at 376 cci(??) which I did not know until I bought the shop manual. Brocky
  3. To have a straight 8 in a Mack you probably would have to "shoe horn" in the Buick engine that Flixble busses used??
