  5. The words "Antique/Historical Vehicle" and "Not For Hire" lettered in where the ICC/DOT number would usually be help a lot in not being stopped. Even though you do NOT have to cross the scales it is best to so they can see your antique plate. Much better than having them run you down!! And 95% of the time you do get run around back it is because the scale man wants to admire your antique.
  6. Check with Mackdaddy, a member here, CRS can not pull up his real name off the top of my head. He has the only Australian RHD Mack ever imported to the States. He is in Oregon but probably knows every Mack in the Pacific Northwest.
  7. Go to the ATHS Northeast Ohio Chapter website, northeastohiochapterofaths.com, or contact their chapter president Richard Stevens, ops90th@gmail.com, He will have the information you are seeking as to which hoops you must jump thru. Larry Freightrain should also have some other phone numbers for you to call.. They are a good bunch of guys and someone will help you.

  15. McBride and DairyLea were the largest bulk milk haulers using double on the NYS Thruway hauling milk to NYC
  16. I got lucky I guess.. Bought this ex-dairy farm before I got into trucks, Have enough big barns to hide my Diamond T 921 and Brockway 358. Enclosed one of the pole barns into a 4 bay garage for my little DT 201 and F-600.. Zoning is pretty laid back here in South Carolina, But IF someone should complain there are several "Redneck Front Yards" for them to work on first!!
  17. Send a PM / Email to Michael Yarnell, He lives in Boyertown and has several Macks. Is a great guy who will probably help you out.

  20. Billy, Yes Hank Snow was Canadian, Nova Scotia if I remember correctly? Your Tombstone every mile was a Dick Curless (from Maine) song, I think the title was "Hainesville Woods", which was about US 2 From Houlton to Bangor ME, the main potato road south before I-95 was built.
  21. Hang in there Mike.. Our prayers are with you and your family..
  22. Fred, That song was originally a Hank Snow release, and I think Dave Dudley used the same music for his song, No Easy Run(??), that lists all the old trucking companies. BUT you are right OD has been there and thanks to his excellent camera work we can join him on the adventures his travel agent likes to send him on.. Tom, Thanks again for all the great pictures!!
