  12. Rowdy, Please find a family doctor, preferably one associated with the local hospital that you would be taken to from home.. When a hospital assigns you a family doctor it may not a person you like. Talk to your friends and neighbors as to who they like or dislike.. At age 44-5 the doc doing my DOT physical said to see my family doctor as my blood pressure top number was high. Was in the process of a divorce living in the KW and a Post Office box. Couple of years later "Borrowed" some blood pressure pills from a friend and passed again. A year Later I was flat on my back in the hospital with a STROKE!!!
  13. The Mack Quadrplex will hold up OK behind a 300 as log as you DO NOT LUG the engine. Keep your RPM's up..
  14. I think(???) That Hagerty also has a plan where ATHS membership gives you another discount??
  15. The true "Widow Maker" Split rims are the Firestone 5 degree rims that come apart in the middle of the cross width, Like the ones on my 55 Ford F-600.

  20. Probably some "safety conscience" person speced it that way for volunteer firemen to get in and out, and for fire service did not need a large fuel capacity?
  21. Scotty Here is a link to Tom Millard's conversion from a gas 427 CI Continental to a 5.9 Cummins in his 1955 Brockway 155W. Tom is an electrical engineer by trade and a perfectionist restorer. If you search both the Brockway and the Just Old Trucks websites you can find more of his well documented restorations. I also know of a Brockway, with a small wood flatbed, in northeast PA with a Cummins L10 which is running on super single drives. Email me thru here and I can send you a picture and contact info. http://www.brockwaytrucks.org/messageboard/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4952
  22. All the eastern Matlack trucks had Dayton wheels. Matlack bought out PIE Tank Lines in the later 60's early 70's. Possible they painted PIE Budd wheel trucks Green and yellow????
