Think it is true?1994 MACK RD690P SERVICE TRUCK - $12500 (Catlett, Va)I have for sale a single axle Service truck that was the LAST truck built in the Mack Canada factory. Truck was originally a road tractor and was converted to a service truck with an 11' Knapheid body. The body is a little rough looking, but is still very solid. It has 1/8" diamond plate on the top and insides of the body to strengthen it. Some sanding, grinding and painting would make it look great. I have 4 new doors for it, but not all of them. The rear axle was changed to a new way air ride and it rides great. The rear tires are brand new caps, the fronts are in great shape as well as the brakes and clutch. It has a Mack 275hp engine and a Mack T2060 6 speed transmission. It has plenty of power and torque to haul a trailer with the 25 ton pintle hitch with air connections and the 2" reciever with an electric brake controller and 7 way plug. The interior is in great shape and very clean with an ice cold AC. The truck has 17k hours roughly and the speedometer was changed right before I bought it and now has 41,000 miles, 40,000 of which I have put on it with no problems. I know I have the original metric speedometer somewhere, just having a hard time finding it. This really is a great owner operator type truck that is reliable with old school simple technology. It is a CDL truck with a 12,000 lb front axle and 21,000lb rear axle. I believe it was a tractor originally for a fuel a lub delivery tractor. If you pull back the interior panels on the roof or back wall it may have signatures of plan workers. I know for a fact that when that last truck was built there were almost 300 workers watched it start and drive off the line. That was no sabotaged truck being the last one.
