  1. Also some cylinders have a internal spring to assist them to ether extend or retract, be cautious and check the cyl. before disassembly. see if you can by hand extend or retract the ram. if so its safe to disassemble if resistance if felt proceed with caution if you are comfortable working with caged springs, if not have a pro install the kit.
  2. for 3K per truck I think I would install nerf bars and save 2750.00 a truck!
  3. now lets see we cant drill for oil in Alaska, we cant bury a pipeline from North Dakota to Texas, but we can turn one of the wonders of the world into a carnival ride............ok then.
  4. KEN : Glad to hear you wont be peddling ass as much, looks more user friendly than a bike too!!!!
  5. if it don't dry out around here soon I will have to buy it just to feed cows!.....at least its on the left coast an in the right state.
  6. take the truck vin# to a mack dealer and they should be able to tell you how it was specked out.
  7. I would consider a axle swap most of those 15" wheels had 5 or 6 lug wheels with inboard brakes so with a hub swap I think you would spend more than just hitting the wrecking yard and getting complete axles. a lot of those old axles are getting tough to find brake parts for
  8. I would think that if you could find a truck ser# for a electronic read 10sp. then it would be fairly easy to retrofit into a older truck I would think that the worm drive would need changed out for the cog style for the sensor to read, don't know if the housing is the same. I changed my rw over to a electronic tach, because my engine came out of a 92 cl and I didn't want to change it back to mechanical.
  9. you may think I'm drunk but are your drive tires the same size? if you have mismatched tire height like over 2" in circumference the power divider could be causing this.
  10. well I cant compete with a plane crash, but I just had a medical call to get a drunk woman off the road that decided riding in a moving vehicle wasn't for her! nicely road rashed and wanting her boy friend, I told her if she wanted him so damn much why in the hell didn't she just stay in the rig with him and I could have stayed home!
  11. better start him up he's laying on his side sleeping! ......excellent detail sanitary enough to be in a operating room!
  12. a bad maxi should leak as soon as the brakes are released. if it only leaks when the tractor or trailer brakes are applied with out the red knob energized its a faulty tractor protection valve. to test charge trailer and pop the supply glad hand off it should exhaust air until the air tank pressure reaches 60 psi the red knob should pop out, and stop the flow of air. if the knob pops out then step on the treadle valve no air should come out of the glad hand if it does replace the tractor protection valve.
  13. truck and pull trailer is ok I get lots of practice with my set up but truck and 2 pull trailers SUCKS!!!!!I can only get about one trailer length before things look like a big letter W or M or Z
  14. a friend of mine did a 1/2 ton 2x4 a couple of weeks ago said something about removing the dip stick tube and sliding the motor mount out to get it come out with out hanging up, I didn't see it until he had the eng. swapped so I didn't pay too much attention to his bitching. he got the job for 1k said never again, the other shop wanted 1.2k to do the swap.
  15. Hugh Rolland makes Darrel Ward look like a saint! L.O.L
  16. see if your dealer will rent you the tool, some will but it may take a large deposit to guarantee its return.

last nights news: abandon children found in squallier, locked inside of home 10yr.6 yr. and 11mo. no heat or food parents were found on a 3 day meth vacation! they too no longer have children .......some of these idiots need a plane ride to the middle east to serve as training dummies for ISIS.

  19. I bet yardo could find the blood trail...... I mean oil trail and sniff it out superdog!
  20. if the bell housing is deep enough drop the clutch off and stand it on end this will allow all brg. work also pistons and liner removal and install reinstall pan then lay it down support the bell hsg. and front block corners ( don't expect the pan to hold it) then install heads and other items
  21. I take it that when you say you have the supply line off the pump your talking about the line between the primer pump and injection pump? is the plunger on the primmer pump leaking when you activate it by hand? is the vent on the fuel tank plugged?
  22. I would hazard a guess that if the tracks were good for 50 miles the operator was good for around 70 miles, after fixing the tracks for 20 miles I would guess they would shoot them selves!
  23. maybe he bet on Seattle and now is in hiding! hope he is well!!
  24. and non mack drivers will leave scratching various body parts when you shift 5 times in reverse. hang on 5th is quick!
