  1. Maybe if the signs were posted on their smartphones they'd see them.
  2. For those who need software to resize your photos, I like Irfanview. It's free to download and easy to use. When you open a photo, you can click 'ctrl + r' and then select a new size (I use 1920 x 1440 pixels, makes about a 600kb file size). Then hit 'ctrl + s' to save and select a new name for the file or just hit enter to replace the old photo with the new size.
  3. Yes, I rebuilt a lot of air fuel ratio units on 3406 Cats back in the 90s, that was pretty much the extent of the emission controls on them. Quick, easy rebuild and back on the road you go.
  4. Okay, well I don't know if it was a great idea to have the thing blasted...there was a boat load of bondo that you couldn't see and now there's a lot of daylight! I dropped it off at the body shop this morning, I'm afraid to see what the bill is going to be.
  5. I don't see a way to comment on pix in the new photo layout. Those pictures you posted of the electric B look great...I'll bet it's a good feeling to see tires on your truck!
  6. Big B on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1962-Mack-B81/263755449539?hash=item3d690cc4c3:g:xKwAAOSwiMRbISDf
  7. You should have posted those two pictures individually so I could like each one!! Those are some nice lookin hoods (and probably the rest of the truck too).
  8. My paint and body guy is ready for the cab so I took the cab & other body parts to the soda blaster on Friday.
  9. Truck Shop, is that winch on your W900 tow truck?
  10. I've seen later model Mack letters and emblems that were plastic, I don't know about Econodyne ones specifically.
  11. The ad says this truck has never been used...looks super nice, but that price tag is somebody's dream (or nightmare!). https://www.ebay.com/itm/2001-Mack-Fire-Truck-Model-9/232796838250?hash=item3633c5d96a:g:YYwAAOSw5PJbGEjn&autorefresh=true
  12. It's a terrible thing to think about all those lives lost and what freedom cost.
  13. I've used Toyota FIPG (form in place gasket) on several things that I didn't have a gasket for; I've never had them leak yet. It doesn't smell like RTV but it definitely has some silicone in it.
  14. For all you Ford fans out there...from the description, it sounds like a decent truck. https://columbus.craigslist.org/hvo/d/1978-ford-9000/6609429072.html
  15. Recasting your wheel at home sounds like a job that requires adult supervision.
  16. We were coming back from vacation in Florida, stayed south of Lexington Saturday night. When we got on 75 Sunday morning and saw some nice old trucks on the highway, I gave myself such a dopeslap for missing the show. Freightrain and Farmer52, you got that right about I-71. From Apalachicola Florida to Columbus that was the absolute worst road we saw.
  17. That stinks, jack2052. I wish it would have turned out better.

    B model parts

Does that mean he parked the truck and then ran?
  19. Looks like that was the king of the highway in the 30's.
  20. How much weight in batteries would you have to have to run 500 miles in an 80,000 lb. truck, running 70 mph and up and down mountains? I can't see that working.
  21. What if you used a schematic from a Mack of that era? I've seen one on BMT before.
