  1. You need to remedy that oversight! Any movie that has Teri Garr and Ann Jillian in it...woah!
  2. When I worked in truck shops, I replaced hundreds of wheel bearings/races and never used locktite. I don't know that it would hurt anything but if your machined surfaces are in bad shape I'm not sure it would solve the problem. If your oil or grease are good and preload is correct, the race is not going to move.
  3. That was certainly a different time! Factories are nothing like that now.
  4. 220, 221...whatever it takes (classic Michael Keaton in Mr. Mom).

    Music

Carole King is a giant of the music world...Tapestry stayed on the US album chart for more than 6 years.
  6. He had some trucks for sale recently on Craigslist.
  7. That's a pretty decent looking truck.
  8. Pretty rough for $8k...the frame looks cracked. More like $800.
  9. Yep, the license plate agrees with you.
  10. Stretching its legs a little! What motor do you think it has?
  11. You're right about not living there...it's beautiful country but give me the green hills of Ohio any day. I lived in Las Cruces for a year in the late 70s and enjoyed it but very glad to be back home. Lots of rust free vehicles out there! Great pictures, ed!
  12. I'd hate to see what it would cost to paint a fire truck all red...plus there would be a lot of work involved to cover the yellow.
  13. Especially that F model with good windshields!
  14. Any idea what model this fits? https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-CHROME-MACK-TRUCK-BULL-DOG-HOOD-ORNAMENT-BASE-ONLY-HOOD-MOUNT/132816957200?hash=item1eec81ef10:g:0jgAAOSwDOpbwBm3
  15. Talent, as well as lots of parts and tools. (just kidding, Freightrain!!)
  16. That's a high front bumper! Also the cast iron horseshoe in front of the motor looks like a motor mount, that's pretty high as well. Interesting how some things on those old trucks are very different from modern trucks, but other things are very similar.
  17. That's a sharp-looking Freightliner.
  18. Since the turbo spins so fast it would be more sensitive to dirt & debris in the oil. Maybe they wanted a little insurance for those turbo bearings.
  19. So they made the B-755 with both cab styles? Is one earlier, one later? AZB, that is a beautiful truck...I really like the blue.
  20. You see people raving about how young people these days are such great dancers...then you see this video, or Donald O'Connor on Singin' in the Rain and those folks were amazing dancers.
  21. How would you like to be in that sleeper when the driver falls asleep and lays it over?
  22. I drain PS systems by pulling the lowest hose and letting it drain out there.
