  1. Pictures will definitely help sell it.
  2. I only had experience with one 903. The company I worked for had one that broke the crank; they sent it to Cummins for major overhaul. A couple of years later it broke that crank too, so they sold the truck.
  3. Actually air bags are very important...they keep a lot of lawyers rolling in the money!!
  4. Definitely get some pictures!
  5. I have no idea how to check the timing on a Mack engine, but I was talking to an older mechanic in Oklahoma one time and he said to watch the fan blades spinning as you turn the distributor. If they appear to spin smoothly your timing is real close, but if they look erratic then it's off. I've never tried this so he may have been full of it.
  6. You won't be moving an M1 tank very fast with a 3208.
  7. I'll have to go in Thursday and get one of those Big Mac coins. https://triblive.com/lifestyles/fooddrink/13918349-74/mcdonalds-maccoins-will-be-good-for-free-big-macs
  8. Any idea which manufacturers use them?
  9. Both of those trucks look great with the chrome rims, but that B is super great!
  10. That rain story stinks! I was in Apalachicola FL in May and had some blackened Cobia one night...it was fantastic.
  11. Have you done the dowel holes on a flywheel housing before? Can I just use a reamer with a jig to hold it square?
  12. Believe me, there's a lot of us that learn when someone asks questions like these.
  13. I did find a place called Dowels Pins & Shafts in Florida that has them but they have a minimum order of 50 at $5.52 each so I didn't want to spend $275 for 2 dowels.
  14. If you go to Google Images and type in 1950 Mack, you could see if any of the photos match your truck. If they don't, change the year to older or newer years and see what looks like yours. Then you can click on the "visit" button and there may be info on the model number and so on. Or, you could post a pic on here and see if we can help.
  15. The rust is slowly claiming this Brockway...it's really a shame. https://zanesville.craigslist.org/cto/d/1971-brockway-n4571-coe-mack/6650058080.html
  16. Classic!
  17. It would be a shame to paint over the lettering on the doors.
  18. I am swapping a different flywheel housing onto my '58 673 because it had the shallow housing before and the duplex that mates to it has some issues. The housing is about .032" off center so I need to ream for larger dowels (the existing dowels are 5/8"). Does anyone know if I have to go to 3/4" dowels, or can I get something like .650"? I haven't been able to find anything but 3/4".

    Lucky Me

OD, I hope your gout is all cleared up now. I had gout for the first time 3 years ago, got a prescription from the doctor that cleared it up. I looked online and a lot of people recommended taking tart cherry extract pills to keep it away. I've been doing that and so far no gout.
  20. Nice truck! Cool setting with the old Diamond Reo shop.
  21. There's (almost) nothing better-looking than gold leaf lettering.
  22. My neighbor bought a 3/4 ton pickup with the V10 about 10 years ago; he has flogged that truck and mistreated it but the motor just keeps on going.
  23. Interesting how those rails are straight, no drop or taper.
  24. Sharp looking rig...have to have lots of money to buy this one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1962-1950-Philadelphia-Tiller-Fire-Truck-Ladder-20/183318830530?hash=item2aaea75dc2%3Ag%3ATngAAOSw7VRbRP5Y&_sop=22&_sacat=63732&rt=nc&_dmpt=Commercial_Trucks&autorefresh=true
  25. I'm out of town right now but when I get home I will compare the 7-1/4 to my cans and see if it looks good. Can you ship them to Columbus Ohio?
