  1. If a guy were to compare piston tops you would likely see if you have doubled up on washers by the spray pattern the spay usually hits right at the bowl corner. If it was fueling you would think you would have had pound (fuel knock) but ya never know!
  2. Yup Good for a look as well Glenn Let us know what you find!
  3. Id Be interested to know! Post If you find out!
  4. What they need to do is put a proper fuel filter on the frame BEFORE sucking dirty fuel thru the dollar store fuel line at the tanks and into the cooler plate . Adding more junk to the filter head just complicates the already poor design! 2 speed water pump Great idea this way we can get rid of the 100 dollar thermostats And replace a 1500 dollar Behr viscous electrically controlled water pump when it or its module fails instead Electric FANS Next I suppose ! Innovation at its finest!
  5. Are you sure that the no# 5 sealing washer came up with the injector and is not being left in the injector hole each time if the injector is too high (DOUBLED UP WASHERS ) it will be spraying to the outside of the piston! just a thought!
  6. Buy the old style green buzzer and wire in a low pressure switch at or near the air governor will save you about a grand ! 1
  7. PAI May Have stuff We just ordered Liner and piston kits For and E9 they had lots! check with them!
  8. On newer unit s it is also tied in to the vehicle stabilization program it operates the front brakes and dials back the throttle if you go to fast into a corner more Teck stuff.
  9. .most newer units have the buzzers built into the dash can't mess with it if the low air has quit you may have to add in a low air sensor and a seperate buzzer or buy a new dash for an outrageous amount cheapest to add on!
  10. We once found an issue like this on a CL the alternator was glitching and voltage spikes were causing issues !The engine would stop in the exaact same spot in the rd on the same haul every several days! Something to think on if your still searching! Just Sayin !
  11. Yup keep lots on the shelf! Just More dollar store parts ! Maybe the price with come down due to high volume sales!
  12. Anyone think this concept will fly? http://www.macktrucks.com/community/mack-news/2016/mack-trucks-green-lights-renewable-diesel-fuel/ Or Is it just lip service to the EPA!??
  13. yup prerty wimpy conduit feeding that puppy! looks like an oil bath air cleaner! nice clean install thou!
  14. WELL If anyone happens to see this prototype v8 at the mack museum post them pics I would dearly like to see it as well! I've seen the prototype 6 cyls they were working on posted!
  15. K Did they have a prototype built or was it all on paper? Since the Volvo trashers Didn't and haven't used Any of the good ideas they inherited Why would they run with a revised V8! Turds!
  16. Good job!
  17. If your check engine light isn't on you may have a faulty engine brake solenoid or VEB Valve Not unheard of! I'm not a fan of how they are operated however when they work they work Very well!
  18. The engine brakes are not loud but iare very effective on these newer units somethings not right
  19. DON'T EVEN GO THERE! Big Bucks ! dont forget you have to Plumb the oil cooler as well as all the wiring and programing issues your going to have! NOT a Smart move! Its likly doable But AT WHAT COST!

  21. You can check your codes with the cruise control switch's, but you must have a stored code (ie, CEL stays on) You do itby having key on, cruise power switch off, and hold RESUME/ACCEL switch on until CEL light goes out. The light will start flashing the codes. It'll be a two digit #, with a slight pause between seperate codes.
