How ever maybe the Scania Guys will let us have the V8 So we have something different than the volvo trashers! Hydralic clutch linkage here we come! Just another pet peeeave
  2. New Cab next year or you retire next year? Or Both?
  3. that much fuel is likely coming from fuel transfer pump seal EUp orings is a less common but possible spot!
  4. Unfoutunatly you and I are on the same page on most things mindset wise in reguards to the new Mack leader ship. unfortunatly were stuck with it love it or hate it. It's here and we still have our cab left . 🙄
  5. Wow I though I'd get shot for saying that! :-)
  6. At the risk of getting flamed I must say the integrity quality of the reman stuff has gone down hill in recent years very sloppy workman ship and loose specs we have had some bum heads (bad Valve guides) bum injectors just to mention a few your better off to find a decent local machine shop where you can control the out come of your project. Or try the sites suggested !
  7. I got a feeling it may be lifter bits the one copper looking one looks like the gasket that seals the delivery valve in the fuel pump! you would have a miss if it were failed I would pull the pan and check the lifters!
  8. Have you had a turbo go in the last while could be thrust washer from turbo failure

You may simply have a bad injector its not unheard of! swap 4 and 5 see if the miss follows the injector!
  17. You can also try cleaning the ports and tubes to the differential sensor on the intake manifold !
  18. Could also have a stuck turbo
  19. how do you know you have no boost leaks black smoke indicates lack of air Hows the air cleaner????
  20. The filter two lines two bolts!
  21. Any big restriction on the primary side could cause the pump to suck are around the pump seal! However the pump failing is not out of the question they do fail but they aint cheap!
  22. But is that check valve holding? the return line it may need replacing But will not be the cause of your issue , your either sucking air via a line or primary filter or the pump seal! restricted fuel line on the primary side !
  23. That is the return line ! The fitting at the block is a check valve that first! If the line is not leaking its not an issue for this problem If you look closely at the Green filter (If Mack) on the front of the engine theer is a number -8 or 10 line that will be the line to chase down for suction leaks If that is the one you put your gauge on that is why you saw no preasure cause there is none ! the preasure should run at or between 60 to 100 psi on the preasure side
  24. I Wish They still Made the CL with the V8!
  25. Is this A Grey engine? Model of truck will help too! The fuel pump is bolted on from the back side of the front cover on a grey engine with 2 13 mm / 1/2 inch headed bolts! the big line to the pump is the suction line make sure you got no leaks on this line IE: racor type filter with a plastic bowl on the bottom! also the fitting in the middle of the block just above the compressor is a check valve it may be malfunctioning ITS cheaper than a pump if your going to grasp at straws start at these items first!
