  1. Unit pumps usually show up codes there should be a bunch of inactive codes for a pump if that is what is causing the light to come on!
  2. As long as the pump drive is the same the timing should be close enough to run depending on the year! Older engines were Tang drive newer engines were coupling driven If the pump housing has a screw in plug it is tang drive If the housing has a place for a plug but is cast over then it is coupling driven
  3. Yup IF the oil is going in or out of the turbo It will likly so on the in or out pipes! How ever if you are standing in a cloud of blo by gasses while standing next to the truck think the answer is clear! (Note We Have had problems with the mussel loader kits being assembled poorly The rings not positioned correctly!)
  4. DId They use Mack mussel loader kits or jobber parts?
  5. Was the inframe done prior to you owning the truck! if so what parts were used?
  6. K Soo blowby is a wear / age issue issue Unless you plan on throwing a big bag of money at it, if it runs drive it and make money be happy! The turbo its self can cause bloby how ever it usually appears under hard pull conditions when the boost is high .
  7. You should be makin 30 pounds easy with all the tweaks you've done If the puff limiter slave piston is still in the hole remove it and put a temporary cork in the hole and go for a drive Something is holding out on you here! Make sure the throttle lever is going full on and the stop full off ,Also you need to be making at least 20 plus pounds of fuel pressure UNDER LOAD to get the best bang for your money. One Thing to note If you juice a 350 to hard you can break the block At number 4 main cap! They don.t have butrus screws like the E7!
  8. You need to treat the 12v bats as you would the 4- 6 v, only now one 12v is now = 2 - 6v one on either side of the sp switch!
  9. Did you swap the linkage over from the donor truck? Before you poked the engine in!
  10. No the Out put shaft is supported by the Big rear Case ball bearing the range pack hub is supported off the tail shaft by the small ball bearing! The rest are tapper roller. That is really the only small ball bearing in the trans that I can think of. Hopefully Glenn is correct and its pto related!
  11. Weld em will shrink the cup! it will come out !
  12. Fuel pump set up ., injectors Turbo , And timing ! the block cam and crank don't change except in the land of auz where the cam was tweeked a bit!
  13. Zak are you having any range issues? there is a small ball bearing on the range pack shaft
  14. Swishys find is A Good one I like that! We should help em move! Sven and Ollie Need All the help they can Get! Volvo Trash
  15. My god people are are so silly everyone knows that box is located under the sun visor ! Common knowledge! GEEEEZZZ!
  16. I think you will find that they are identical !The cams are different!
  17. Rumor has it, is that ,Apparently if your towing you need to have at least 90 psi in the air system leave the key on and the trans in 3 gear Only rumor for me at this point! Others may chime in with better insite on the subject ! However Stick with Alice or standard if your Pebble packing or paving The M drive lends it self well to only a Road Trany in my opinion! Again MY opinion!
  18. Pull the side cover on the front as well and look at the gear set its likely toast as well!
  19. Good choice We NEVER put solos back in unless someone requests or insists! And I have only seen one ever make it to the worn out stage! they usually stop adjusting about half way worn and you got to replace em anyway! Just my observation!
  20. YUP Agree
  21. James AMEN to that ! (ELECTRIC) Pump like Them lucky cummins guys! Maybe we will get in tune with the 21 century at sum point!
  22. Ya need to see what codes ya got! No point in throwin parts at it till ya know what your shooten at! Point being here you need to start ruling stuff out ! IT Could be the throtle pedal glitchin , CODES or WHAT is the fuel pressure running at? put a guage in and drive Is it consistent? you could have a plugged tank vent . a bad drain back valve! floatie in the fuel tank ,a flapper in a fuel line ! OR And Don't laugh! Seen this at least three times > Rocks in a Primary filter elbow!!! Running out of fuel under load!
  23. My vote Is Positive! They held out to the 70s before changing! to negitive
