  1. It sure sounds like cups or bad injector cumbustion in the fuel gallery.
  2. Humm checked the bat connections ?
  3. What he said! I 'm school and in my opinion M drive I shift is for big fleets who can AFFORD to put a clutch in one! Most of these trucks come programmed to start out in third empty / bobtail ! We have had some that have worn out just over the warranty period people Are stuck with buying a clutch from MACK OR Volvo,They ain't ,cheap and you can't go to Napa To get one , Entrapment is all these auto trans are For the average O/O not a smart Buy! When you replace a clutch the flywheel is likly to be worn beyond tolerances WHICH are very tight! YET another Big Bag of money to throw away after you get your DPF replaced yada yada!If you insist on a newer ride At the very least stick with a standard trans ! one less headache ,Yes M drive is nice to drive But there is a Bigger picture here! Remember this is the new era Of the 5 yr truck! Not your 1999 20 year truck KScarbel has the thing to do posted To bad they dont do macks but they got the right Idea and trucks for O/Ops You just won't be able to haul to california OHWELL!
  4. It Dont take much!
  5. Yup get on it ! it should have a warrenty period and time is ticking! Was it a long block or short block? long you should be good to go! short not so much Ive seen cracked rocker shafts cause the jake to come on how ever if they are your shafts and it is the problem you pay! Let us know how this turns out!
  6. one would think you would see some smoke if it was fueling and the jake was opening a valve at the same time? My only thought would be an intake valve hanging up!
  7. Try the half turn you'll like it
  8. DPF Restricting flo won't help the situation also the turbo could be stuck it will not throw a code for a stuck turbo either How ever you ve changed it so injectors seems possible! Clean the dpf see if it helps you got to do it anyway Your not going backwards!
  9. Remove the 6 or 4 bolt cover at the top back loosen the rear 5/16 nut 1 half turn tighten the front nut the same amount!
  10. Look for a burst after cooler hose or cracked after cooler
  11. If you haven't got it running yet , All I can suggest is blowing everything off and checking the ecu fuse
  12. you got a huge job ahead getting fenders and stuff out of the way! That engine is likley tang or tab driven it also has a master dowel
  13. it is a master spline or tab drive depending on the age! you cant get it out of time unless you force it! three or four bolts and the lines and whet ever else is in the way and you off!
  14. Sounds pretty much the case see if you can find a good used or have it repaired by a fuel shop in your area!
  15. Does the engine have a robert bosch inline fuel pump? if so you may have a delivery valve washer that is cracked! If you replace the injector and still find you have a miss You may have to stop by an injection shop to have it fixed!
  16. Reliable the 427 has a flatter torque curve I beleive! the engine it self is basicly the same! good unit!
  17. yup kinda got off track Sorry!
  18. They are correct in that its better than wasting money on a guess! but those pumps do have a bit of a track record . NAH Lkley the worst you'll have to do is pull the EUP Pumps!
  19. Popping can be a lifter failure as well. Pull the pan and check the lifters !
  20. Good unit what mileage ?
  21. Do you have Teck tool ? Is the fuel preasure ok ?
  22. Yup ! If it were Injectors it would likely leak out the fuel lines! There is no fuel return on the newer injection set up!
  23. Sorry I just like the simple approach !
