  9. The most common failure on these is the fuel pump switch or the above mentioned tab on older models! On The switch style one the cable is ussually what causes the problemYou may have to add and extra spring to the lever.
  10. I agree , Hes givin ya straight goods,If Ya got the money DO as as hes says duratlite If not, don't waste the money that is not a a bad leak It really has to be a gusher before it will affect performance!
  11. If Your truck still hass the inline fuel pump on it!I would suspect the fuel pump pins first off !Try unpluging and replugging the fuel pump plug a couple of times and see if this changes your situation! It can possibly be the fuel pump itself but try this first!
  12. In My H,O As long as your 350 engine was a vmac engine what you want to do should work ,scrutinize All the bolt locations and oil and coolant locations and make sure everything is there for your application including the water pump and oil cooler mounting! Just my 2 cents
  13. Leaky liners!Ya need to pull the pan and see where the coolant is coming in at Chances are good the liners Are leaking with miles like that!
  14. WE allready had that with his first clutch! We have the 1850 on order! This has been a real pain to say the least the gurus at the spicer hot line were of no help either.
  15. I hope that was good building Grade lumber wouldn't wan't that to fall off!
  16. The best gauge of worn out ling and drums is a cam rotation !Back the brake off till the slack pulls away from the brake pot.mark the cam and turn the slack back till ith shoes are tight to the drum if the rotation goes past 90 degress of rotaion the lining is border line but still OK If the rotaion aprotches 120 deg of rotaion the lining and possibly the drum are done!Time to replace! Anything after 120 is pushing a cam over situation!

  22. All but appox 4 of those CL350 's were sold here in BC as log trucks All but 2 were born with V12 detroits and allison trans. The other 4 went to various places apex moving has one not sure who else got em!!
  23. Now that being the correct way to shim it! This is how I do it Be cause you will be hard pressed to find shims ! limit bimo removed Full head of air release the brakes snap the throtle down Should get a black cloud! Now in stall a 9/16 flat washer behind the bimo as you install it hook it up and repeat the throtle snap should have deminished the smoke by half or more,What I shoot for is just a wisp of gray at throtle snap if you can get this you will have decent pickup and not a hole pile of black! If you set it to bimo specs on the pump you will not be happy with the pick up. not b a happy camper,.
  24. No Magic !AS stated the cal code should be installed into the ecu thou and the fuel line is a good thing to replace if you don't know the history!
  25. I wonder If you got a bad throtle pedal Just thinking out loud.
