  1. And some more. The Australian Kenworth Dealers Assn also has a big building with about 15 KW's in it that I did not take pictures of. This is the very first "Road Train", a Diamond T 981 converted to civilian use with home made trailers, and yes that pile of drums is on the third trailer.
  2. Here are some pictures of the Australian Truckie's Hall of Fame in Alice Springs museum facility and trucks. Alice Springs is out in the middle of the Outback, about the same as our Des Moines IA, except the climate is very dry like our Arizona

  5. Vlad The Reunion part of the Museum is a Show that takes place every 5 years, next one in 2020, start saving your rubles.. They do have a lot of "Boneyard" stuff stored outside as their climate is very dry like our Arizona. When I get a chance I will post some pictures from the museum itself and some of the other trucks in the Odds and Ends section.
  6. Job 41 That looks like it could have originally been a western NY plow truck??? Erie, Chataqua, and Catarogus(sp) counties speced a lot of Acar's heavy like that..
  7. Maddog The pick ups belong to Tony Champion. He has several Macks imported from here. Will post them in a separate topic later.
  8. I was "Down Under" for a total of two weeks, but only in Alice Springs for 3 days, one of which was a tour of the McDowell mountains west of town. Spent one day at Tony Champions dealership and private collection in Townsville. Will post pictures later. and 3 days in Melbourne where we did 4 private collections on Sunday. Again pictures still to come!!

  11. Was at Tony Champions dealership in Rockhampton, Queensland AU. Sign on the front of the building said Volvo Commercial Vehicles and I do NOT remember seeing a single Volvo on the lot.. Lots of Mack's and DAF's!!!

  13. Randy I just checked the atlas.. Rob is in Tonasket on US 97, north east of this area by an airline of about 25 miles. Hopefully he is still all right.. Our prayers are with the familys of the fallen fire fighters as well as the whole region. Brocky

  17. Tighten up the welfare laws, and the laws of supply and demand will force the lazy legal Americans to fill the jobs.. Might have to raise the labor rate a little, which is inflationary, but they will work or starve..
