Popular Post tjc transport Posted September 27 Popular Post Share Posted September 27 Mr Sikorski offered my father a job for life and starting salary of 10 times he was making as a pilot in the navy after a bearing failure almost killed him. he also offered and gave the co pilots wife life benefits and salary after he was killed in the crash. back in 1952, they were the first pilots killed/almost killed in one of his birds crashing. he also paid for dads hospital stay and all reconstructive surgeries. when dad finally was released from the hospital 2 years later, he declined the offer telling Mr Sikorski he could not be held responsible for an accident that was caused by a bearing failure. they remained friends for 20 years until Mr Sikorsky passed away. 3 1 Quote when you are up to your armpits in alligators, it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp.. I actually landed there, between your trucks and the power lines, during the Anthrax investigations several times with the State Police helicopter. Brought in FBI agents and State Police bomb techs and investigators. A woman from Oxford died from her mail that was cross contaminated from that postal facility. I think that was right around October, 2001.
