    Wish I could dig up some pictures of the 1979 U's my dad brought back then.We ordered 20 r models and 15 dm600 trucks.The R's had a longer wait time then dad wanted to wait so the U's were ordered by Ryder trucking and ended up not needing them,so dad scooped them.They were a little on the lightside,they were built for the over road,we used them to pull dump trailers.

    The last couple of washes I had the pump didn't seem to last very long.I think when this one I have now goes up I will just rent one when I need it.Looking to rent to rent a stream pressure washer now.Gotta clean the shop floor.

    I have been playing around with the idea of making an everyday driver out of one of these old macks.Thinking of changeing out the drive line for something more modern, like one out of a newer IH school bus, with an automatic transmission. Something that would give me better fuel mileage. Then making a pickup bed for it.

    My mom and dad had visited down under sometime ago and all they could say was how nice the people were and how beautiful the country was.Seems like you are you are really enjoying your self.Keep the pictures coming.

    My dad brought 15 of them back in 1979.The only thing I didn't like about them were they had a rough ride.

    There's probably more plastic in the windshield wiper knob on the newer trucks then there's in the B model.

    Wouldn't own anything but a Mack.Been in a family owned construction company for life and never brought any other brand.Dad always said stick with what got you there.

    Welcome back hope everything went.I've got a bad back and have been told that the last thing I want is to have back surgery they all say wait till I can't stand the pain.I'm still working for Buckley.

    Believe me trying to reuse a wiring harness is not the way to go.I'm in the middle of redoing my 1964 B87 and have removed the harness and it can't be used over.What I am going to do to have the truck up and running is to rewire it my self.It is not all that bad to do.Good Luck

    I finally found a NAPA store that can make up the paint,the only problem is it about hour away.

    GreenDash,I'm afraid your right,it's just the can.Dumb question wtf do they think I'm going to do with an empty can? Brain,does S-W put the paint in a rattle can?

    Yes,that's what the fellow told me over the phone.I hope that not just the empty can.I told him I wanted metallic green paint.Will call in the morning.

    Thanks for the quick replies,will check out the price of new ones on Monday.I will have to make up the brackets cause I have the extra airtank.Does anyone know of a truck junk yard, they could have some used ones.

    I am looking to either build or find 2 good used ones for my B87.The ones i took off were homemade and they were way over kill for what was needed.If anyone has a set of prints or a couple pictures of the ones on their trucks that shows what they were made like it would be great. Once this God Awful weather warms up a little i would like to get the old girl up and running.Thanks Mike Durkin

    I just ordered 3 cans from my local NAPA store,he tells me it will be in on Monday after 12.I gave him the B55216000 #and he said thats the # for the met. green.I will be paying about $5.50 a can.Had some paint mixed up before from the local paint supplier and I wasn't that thrilled about the match. Will let you all know what i think.From the looks of the pic from Wobblin-Goblin it will be a better match.
