  4. The early ones were basically a 5 speed with a back box, with direct and low on the other stick, or a direct and overdrive on the other.

  15. I can second that, had one in a DM dump, with 4.17'sand the pump set for 2300 RPM's, it was a real runner. Terry

  17. Isn't 77 early enough to have been replaced with a 711?Sure has the old style crankcase breather. Don't know if the early 237's had that style of breather. Terry
