The slotted adapter with the pins is when you take the two top bolts and one bottom out that bolt to the block. You have a pic of the top two. terry

Are there pins on the spacer that mate up to drive on engine and pump drive? If so it only goes on one way. terry

Here i go again, if i remenber there is a slotted adapter between pump and drive on engine and has a pin on it on each side so can on go back on one way, as long as nothing is moved timing would remain the same. terry

The balancer is separate from the crank hub if i remember right? terry

The 237 was a 675, and the 285 was 676, not sure on the 300+ terry

On a truck that old most anyting could have been changed, frame number would tell you what it was originally. Terry

Looks like you have bolts and not studs and nuts for headbolts, be sure to chase all threads and bottom tap and blow out bolt holes. Terry
