  4. Can't you use a filter that came with the tip turbine engines, it has two separate filters in one housing, one for engine and one for the tip turbine.. it is a bigger housing, but it's all on the passenger side. terry
  5. The biggest problem with a mack single countershaft trans with higher horse engines is do not lug it, keep the rpm’s in higher power band and you’ll be fine, terry

  9. I don't know where your getting the countershaft shims from, i might have some in my shop if you need them. terry
  10. I’m sure you probably know this, you have to bolt cases together to set endplay on counter shafts and shim accordingly,check at pto opening, and I believe on mainshaft output at back box takes spacers between the two facing bearings to set endplay. Terry
  11. I once had a vent pipe that had a short rubber piece between valve cover and vent pipe, the rubber collapsed inside and the engine was pushing oil out all over. Terry

  18. Maybe that broaching was a way to cut oil grooves or dimples like original gear bushings on the old 72 series transmissions.🤷‍♀️. Terry
  19. If you google broaching a gear bushing there are some explanations of it. Terry
  20. I’m not sure what the broaching procedure is, i think after new bushing is pressed in the broaching tool finishes the inside of the bushing some how. But sounds like freightrain’s procedure should work. Terry
  21. Haven't seen that done since high school auto mechanics class, along with knurling valve guides. terry

  24. Is the T2100 a ten spd.? The 2070 has a very large overdrive, check overdrive ratios on both, you will probably have to change rear ends with the T2100, the 2070 generally has around 5:50 ratio rears. Terry
  25. Some six speeds were air operated back box, low, direct, reverse, a 107A, two stick six speed has no air shift controls. Terry
