  2. Maybe that broaching was a way to cut oil grooves or dimples like original gear bushings on the old 72 series transmissions.🤷‍♀️. Terry
  3. If you google broaching a gear bushing there are some explanations of it. Terry
  4. I’m not sure what the broaching procedure is, i think after new bushing is pressed in the broaching tool finishes the inside of the bushing some how. But sounds like freightrain’s procedure should work. Terry

  8. Is the T2100 a ten spd.? The 2070 has a very large overdrive, check overdrive ratios on both, you will probably have to change rear ends with the T2100, the 2070 generally has around 5:50 ratio rears. Terry
  9. Some six speeds were air operated back box, low, direct, reverse, a 107A, two stick six speed has no air shift controls. Terry

  18. R685ST is a 237 engine with a six speed, S means six wheel, T means. Tractor But hard telling what had been changed in the mean time. Terry
  19. I know some of the canadian trucks have a spread axle on the tandems, if i’m not mistaken at one time there were three different spacings on the rears. Terry

  21. They had a combination water and air tip turbine intercooler. Terry
  22. The R700 series had the longer hood for cat or cummins engines, but i also seen them with mack six cylinder, and mack V8 engines. Terry

  25. They made a clutch brake for a mack push clutch, it had a lever that went down and pushed a disc against the counter shaft. Terry
