Isn't the 107 series supposed to have at least 90W gear oil, maybe the newer mack trans. take the 50W synthetic. terry

When you say extended range are you talking the low-low hole on the front box, that will not show the main shifter. terry

Don't know if it can be done, bet it would be a real challenge. terry

You do not the hi-lo like a splitter. If off road used proper low range gear, when on pavement put range in direct and shift the main 1-2-3-4-5 in that order. terry

If you are having banging and knocking you better have a tow truck on speed dial!! When what ever finally gives up you will know what is wrong. terry -
I once had a DM dump had a 285 hp, with the overdrive 12 speed and 4.17 rears had the pump turned to run up to 2300 if I wanted, it could bury the 80 MPH speedometer! It was a real sleeper. terry

The 1071 is a extra low, low hole gear Lower than the 107 series. terry
