  1. best way to do that is have a donor truck right there to change everything, been there and done it! terry
  2. look at the shift diagram, if your going to use every gear,1st low, 2nd low, 3rd low, 1st hi, 2 hi, 3hi, 4th hi, and 5th hi, you can skip some gears in low range, but you almost always need them all in high range, this trans is always used with a 300 hp engine that is a low lugging engine. terry

  10. Is this trans. going in a diesel, a gas engine would be a smaller series trans? terry Might have spoke to quick, don't know if the big gas engines used the 72 series trans.
  11. got to be a rare back box, hope it works for you! terry What would a B model designation be? I believe a front wheel drive in a DM was a DMM.

  13. Is it a supposedly rebuilt or a DuPont overhaul? looks spotless. is there oil in it? Pull front top cover and take a look. terry I'll bet a military version would be the same.
  14. Almost have to be a mack I would think,Any mack part no's on any part of it, I think there were some front wheel drive B models. Also could have come out of a real early Dm or R with front wheel drive. terry

    Don't forget the 711 engine, 211 HP with no turbo. I once had a B model dump with a 711 that local mack dealer put a turbo on, it was one of the best sounding engines i ever heard. Alot of people told me they could tell it was me coming by the sound of it. terry

    673C was a 250 hp engine, about as big as the early engines were, predecessor to the 237. terry
