  3. Is it a supposedly rebuilt or a DuPont overhaul? looks spotless. is there oil in it? Pull front top cover and take a look. terry I'll bet a military version would be the same.

    Don't forget the 711 engine, 211 HP with no turbo. I once had a B model dump with a 711 that local mack dealer put a turbo on, it was one of the best sounding engines i ever heard. Alot of people told me they could tell it was me coming by the sound of it. terry

    673C was a 250 hp engine, about as big as the early engines were, predecessor to the 237. terry
  15. They have a bunch of different maxitorque transmissions, have to have the numbers off of trans. to tell what you have. terry

  18. Don't know what you are calling bull gear, generally that is a rear end gear, nothing to do with engine, sounds like you are talking about engine air compressor> terry

  20. just double check how battery cables are wired to starter to figure out if it is 12 or 24 volt starter, might be able to look on starter to see voltage. terry

  22. Nobody rebuilds parts anymore, I used to take brake cans apart and change service and emergency diaphrams. terry
