    A well thought out plan would be to lay off half of the people at EPA. Then instead of mandating their ideas (which in some cases may have merrit) float their ideas before the applicable industries and let them implement using the competative spirit.

    Mack ( the Icon) is not squeaky clean in this re guard. Remember they wanted to build a factory in the Soviet Union in the 60/70's or so. The government nixed it. We don't have much control over Volvo, I guess we could pass some sort of legislation to prevent vehicles made/assembled in America from reaching Iran. Big money is more important than principal. But then again there is no principal in the executive or legislative parties in this country. No principal-only agenda.

    Welcome aboard. Now the straight talk. Unless you have a boat load of money I can't see how you will make it if you buy all of this equipment new such as a Titan. You can get used equipment in good shape for 1/4 to 1/2 the price. Ease on in to it and get the business profitable. There is a lot of competition out there with older equipment(less overhead).     There is no reason why a single shaft transmission can't be made as stong as a double or triple countershaft. Metallurgy being the same shaft cross section is the key.

    After the last few years of the Executive Branch, Congress, the courts, EPA, etc., the American citizens are the ones that have needed a rear impact device. Well said and all of the other alphebet soup agencies.

    That Sessa DM can really rap with the maxidyne. Great tunes. Also Blue Slope Farms trucking which usually has Blue Macks apparantly has a new T800 KW red in color. Saw it twice on Rt 16. Hope it is just a temporary abberation. If you go on their website they show a blue Mack Junior pick up. I think they may have some binders also.
